To the people fascinated by "French culture"
France has some good sides, I recognize it (food?Landscapes?Raclette!), and I guess the foreigners fascination toward Paris is part of a nation-branding policy.
But when I think about French culture, here are my thoughts: France is a country where the words "Black, White, race" are very bad words and that you should never say out loud, like Voldemort (oupsy, said it). France is a country where mothers who wear the hijab cannot find a job. France is a country where an "activist" recently spoke out her truth on the TV, bashing a single mum with two kids and earning 1500 euros a month because after all, it's her fault if she is poor.
France is such an amazing country by many aspects. But it certainly is one of the most hypocrite and problematic countries when it comes to race and class issues. I hope I can develop that later.
I am sorry to disappoint you but the Paris you see when you travel is not the one most of French people experience.
