“There was no ‘sooner’. Not the way you think.” Well, sure, McCree had gotten the call from Winston - that he wanted to let Overwatch rise once again, like back then when Overwatch had still been legal. Now, with Reaper, the terrorist, being around, as well as Talon, the world could need people like them, Overwatch to the rescue, and so on.
For Jesse? It had been difficult at first. Back when shit had happened with Blackwatch and Overwatch, when he’d left them all behind, he’d lost the one family that had helped him to gain strength and power. Not only physical strength and power, but also emotional. He’d lost a home, lost friends, had heard of Gabriel’s and Jack’s death… Gabriel’s one had hit him the most. So, how could one ask him to simply come back and act as if everyhing was fine?
… It had been hard. It had taken some weeks for him to decide. Staying out on the fields with Whiskey as the only friend, living from day to day as the bounty hunter and outlaw he still called himself? Or return to what had once pulled him in and helped him to become what he was now, even though it hurt?
“Was at the other end of the world. Needed to get here first. Took a while.”
“Being hunted does not make for speedy travel, that I know.” The Sniper nods, sipping her tea with a softened sigh leaving her. “I did not leave Talon under the best circumstances admittedly..” she almost laughs.
Shifting, she sits up a little further and settles an arms length away from the man. “You do not have regular cigarettes I suppose?” Amelie intones then, looking over at the man. “I haven’t smoked in years..” she admits, and hasn’t even considered it to calm the nerves.
“Or an extra cigar?”
