I’m reaching out with a bit of vulnerability, so please be gentle.
I’ve been a Pokémon fan since the very beginning—Red and Blue—and growing up, I couldn’t afford a Game Boy back then. My last Nintendo console was the Switch, and it honestly became such an important part of my life. I played Animal Crossing: New Horizons for six years, and it truly helped me through so much, especially with my mental health.
Now the Nintendo Switch 2 is here and Pokopia launched, and I was really hoping to be able to get one eventually and play the game since I love it so much and I see the amazing builds people make for their pokémon. But the console is literally twice the price of my rent, and I just can’t afford it on my own right now.
I have endometriosis and underwent surgery last year to remove five foci of it, and I’m also autistic (level 1 support). Gaming has always been a safe space for me, especially when things feel overwhelming. My bachelor degree is digital gaming development and I really like every part of it, all the character and worldbuilding.
I'll share my Throne wishlist here in case anyone feels able to help. Either way, I’m just grateful to be part of a community that understands how much these games mean.
