#c:food #d:80s #d:1987 #apparently ice cream company tcby introduced a white chocolate soft serve that year #bc it wasnt until right around then that we even had white chocolate as a commodity in the us. it wasnt officially considered a chocolate #here until 2002 #so it makes sense that the first 'official' soft serve with it as a flavor would be around 87 #anyway. there used to be a tiny tiny ice cream shop on the way home from my parents work #so sometimes when theyd take me with them to work theyd let us stop and get ice cream on the way home #and for whatever reason i LOOOOVED the white chocolate flavor thats what id get most of the time #ive never actually loved white chocolate even back then (now i prefer to caramelize it)#but something abt that soft serve. mwah #it was like vanilla but with more flavor to me i guess
