Eileen is a fearless, strong willed, outgoing 6 year old girl. She loves playing outside and making friends with everyone. Her life has been healthy, happy, and normal until now. On February 17,  Eileen suffered an acute ischemic stroke caused by Moyamoya disease. She lost control of the left side of her body, and had to be airlifted from Melbourne to Orlando. She is now recovering in Florida Hospital for Children, but the control over the left side of her body is going to be a long and difficult struggle to regain. She will soon be entering inpatient rehab at Nemours Children’s Hospital to work on the skills she will need to have as much independence as possible during this time. Moyamoya is a rare disease that requires neuro vascular surgery to correct or she will continue to have strokes. This is a difficult and delicate surgery, that will have to wait until she has recovered more from this stroke. Her mother, Jessica, has been constantly by her side and working with doctors to get her the best care possible. However, this means that she has not been able to work. The hospital bills have not started arriving yet, but between that, losing a salary, and mobility aids that Eileen will need once she leaves the hospital, the family needs money to get her the best care possible. All money will be going to Jessica directly. We appreciate any help you can provide for them in this time of need.
