Star-Shot Lovers Reapzo/Reazo Week Day 2: Role Reversal
Rating: It’s appropriate & sfw
Just a short fanfic about the my Edge Baes switching weapons. I hope you enjoy!
“If I win, you have to cook dinner.” He teased. “And not that instant rice or ramen you usually eat. I’m talking about sushi level shit.” He passed Hanzo his gun.
“Fine, but if I win, you have to clean up the safe house by yourself.”
Reyes nodded and they both shook hands…very tightly.
You see, the two hitmen-for-hire decided to initiate another one of their famous challenges: “Who-could-beat-the-other-at-their-own-skill” challenge. Many a times before they had tried wrestling, parkour speed runs, and “Most contracts in a week” to smaller things like pushups and arm wrestling. Yet this time, they both wanted to try something different. To learn a new weapon is always an interesting aspect; if gave them both new ways to kill. Hanzo would use Gabe’s guns, while Gabe would use the bow and arrow. Within a week they would learn the complexities of these weapons, only for today, show their significant other what they learn.
Together Shimada and Reyes lived in a safe house hidden from civilian view in the woods. Of course they wouldn’t tell you which woods or even which continent, but they did say it had a nice view of a body of water.
Other assassins often gossiped about how well the dynamic duo got along with each other.
“I heard they met working on different teams for the same bounty.”
“That would explain why they do harder contracts together. What takes a team of ten and weeks only takes them a day or two.”
“Interesting. I wonder what else they do with each other?”
Regardless of the rumors, whether they be true or false, no one could deny their complimenting skills and attitudes. Real couples would be jealous.
“Archer’s first.” The ex-yakuza joked. “I’ll be surprised if you even scratch the target with your point.”
“Don’t underestimate me mi compadre,” taking the bow off the rack, quiver already on his back. “I always have a trick up my sleeve.”
“You’re wearing a sleeveless shirt.”
The training grounds (which was really just a cleared area around the house) was posed with practice dummies and targets running from tree. Hidden in the fertile dirt and moss laid traps and switches to other to traps. Basically, the two hard-wired the forest around them.
Hanzo loaded up the gun. “On my mark.”
And with a swift flick of the trigger, the loud “pang” rang off, scaring some of the sleeping birds off in the distance.
Reyes without any hesitation starting shooting with ease. Hanzo noticed the well-posed form of the archer’s stance even found it enjoyed seeing the arrows fly and directly the red dots in the middle. Still not a master though. This was a timed competition, and he noticed Reyes took slightly took long aiming.
“Time!” he called out while calculating the score. “61 points.”
“What? Really? Aye Dios Mios.” Turning only to find his partner’s smug face. “My highest was 70 yesterday.”
“Perhaps you were intimidated by my presence?” laughing as he grabbed the bullets for his turn.
“Oh we’ll see whose laughing after your turn Dragon.”
As Hanzo prepared for his turn, putting bullets in multiple guns, Reyes took this opportunity to cool himself off…by taking of his shirt…and stretching…main flexing really.
Last gun loaded “Very well I’m Re-” just one glance at the ghost commander and he blushed ever so slightly, his dragons stirring in his arm. “R-Reyes. What do you think your doing?”
“What do you mean?” as he bends into a squat. “I’m just stretching.”
“Hmph. Baka. Your tricks will not distract me.” He cocked his gun, “ Ready!”
At the shot of starting gun, he was off. To make it fair, Hanzo wasn’t allowed to wield dual pistols, but that wasn’t the problem. It was the unfamiliarity of having to drop one weapon only to pick up another. That bothered him the most.
With a few seconds left, he tried to shoot off a few more shots, but he had to grab another pistol. Looking to rack only find that there were no guns left.
“Time!” Gabe shouted. “Shame. You should’ve loaded more guns.”
Reyes smiled. “That’s definitely not enough.”
“Shut it.” He scoffed, “Tell me my score.”
“What! That’s not right!” grabbing the clipboard Hanzo calculated the score himself. “You can’t count, its 71.”
“You missed two of your shots!”
“I did not! I missed one!”
The argument continued for a couple of minutes which led to them wrestling each other to the ground, but whenever that happened, they usually ended up making out.
Gasping for breath, Reyes spoke first. “Shimada?”
He laughed, “You were right. It’s 71.” And he handed Hanzo the real score. “Gotcha.”
