[ So I haven’t been on this blog in a while.

I haven’t really been here. Uh, whoops? I’ve been dealing with drawing for a DDLC mod and a bunch of other stuff so I haven’t had time to update anything.

“Hm? Ah…”

With a herculean effort, Beatin resisted the urge to tell her that anyone with even barely working eyes could tell it was made of walnut. He took the cane from the girl’s hands, weighing it in his hand and looking it over with a discerning eye. It took a moment but soon he tilted his head, having identified the creator.

“It’s Artor’s work. I can tell by the sheer weight of it. Truly, how does he expect a conjurer to lug this around?” He shook his head. “And what’s more, the cowardly fool can’t face me himself after the tongue lashing I gave him, so now he’s having adventurers run his errands? How pathetic.” The man might be proud to be a member of the Guild, but Beatin was going to beat the pride out of him if he didn’t step up his craftsmanship.

“Ah…but thank you. I don’t actually remember who the intended recipient of this cane is, but it does not matter because I’ll have to fix his mistakes, once again.” 

                  “I guess by sheer force of will, or something,” was her response to his question. And this Artor had gotten a tongue lashing? Well, he must’ve done something to deserve it, not that it was any of her business. Though the Elezen having to fix the mistakes someone else made didn’t really seem like something he should have to do. Wouldn’t it be better to ask someone else to do it? For a moment, she was silent.

                 Maybe she should offer. It wasn’t like she had anything to lose.

                  Though she’d been dabbling in the art of carpentry for some time, she’d never actually been to the guild itself. Miranda had started her on self-sufficiency at some point, which she couldn’t remember when it started, so there hadn’t been an exact need to go there. But today, she’d had to deliver a walnut cane for someone who just shoved it into her hands and ran off after saying “Deliver it to the Carpenter’s Guild! Thank you!”

                         Couldn’t they have done it themselves?

       Elysia was stuck with this, since the guy had basically teleported after running a good distance away. Seriously, what was she, a courier? So here she was, at the guild, staring at the entrance before taking a breath and heading inside. Spotting an Elezen, she walked over and attempted to get his attention.

  “Um, excuse me, I was told to give this to the Carpenter’s Guild instead of the person who made it. It’s a Walnut Cane.”

“Do you need any help with finding them?”

 In coming across a very familiar silhouette, calm relief had swept over her, though that turned to uneasy guilt the second the question was spoken to her. Granted, she was slowly coming more familiar with this world as the years went on. And yet, she was not expecting someone who looked so familiar. So similar to someone she knew and held dear to. 

  How foolish of her to forget that magic worked differently around here. The sage took a few moment to calm herself. How to explain this? She was just having to mainly aim to visit Azee. And yet, she just had to act in seeing someone in danger. Sometimes her own selfless nature was going to be her end. How even more foolish of her to confuse this one with another for even a moment.

 “My name is Divinity.” Golden eyes stare at the other, cautious. The prickling feeling of uncertainty and caution lingered in the air, The sage’s words were calm, soft, as well as friendly. At least she was being as honest as possible. “I am merely a spell caster from another land. I apologize for making you feel on edge, you seemed to be in trouble and I wished to assist you.”

                   “It’s nothing I can’t handle.”                           Elysia huffed softly, the noise being more like a sigh than anything. The woman meant no harm, but she could be one of those Garlean conscripts that weren’t of Garlean descent... She couldn’t be too certain if the other was really truthful. Ugh, this was what happened when you saw too much. Elysia relaxed a tiny bit, but she was still guarded. She hadn’t meant to get wrapped up in all of the stuff that happened to a friend of hers.

                   “Who are you?”                           The words left her as she stared at the woman before her, hand on the rapier sheathed on her hip. She didn’t need the crystal for a quick Endoublement combo, in case the woman was evil and needed to be dispatched immediately. Elysia wasn’t taking any chances, not after all that’s happened. It was better to be on guard in case someone decided to backstab...

                        Like that one time...

           “So, going to answer?”

“It’s not around here...” She sighed, shaking out her map and glancing at it. According to said map, she should’ve found the landmark she was looking for by now. Elysia was confused. Exactly where was that--
