it shall end the same. the night will take my lips, the moon will take my words, the earth will stay silent and i’m gone again. there’s a storm brewing, raging and i have never quite understood why, but i’ve learned to accept it. the very act of creation requires destruction first. i have surrendered all of my flaws and well-placed perfections inside of a smile that i will no longer give away. i spoke to a lyft driver a few days ago and he said once he became a father he decided to never let anything or anyone ruin his day. he said deciding that was the single best moment of his entire life and it made me smile. i can only ask the wind to guide my wings back to where i need to be.
