i luv art but im pretty positive that im better at plagiarism than i am at creating lol… i feel pretty awkward about it… any advice?

simple answer is that basically u should just keep doing stuff until you just kind of find your own way.

genuinely i just believe this is how people learn and find themselves, sounds like you have admited something to yourself and u can either let it devastate u or u just gotta push forward with courage while understanding a part of urself u want to maybe change a bit.

but also have you considered curating/organizing/writing? its a talent also. understanding ur own taste is a valuable thing to try and figure out. like why do you like something, what could that mean about u or the world around u, etc.

but also i think maybe u could rethink what you consider to be "copying" and maybe expand on ur approach. like ok so you like someones paintings..is it possible to copy someones point of view or whatever it is you like about the paintings but copy it within another medium? can you turn their painting into a drawing or a photograph or film? i think all good artists copy especially when they see that something really works. its how you hide/repackage what you copy that shows ur true identity and what u can bring to the table
