I tried to write it down exactly as I remembered it, which was very simplistic in order to be more easily understood by the child I was then.

It's a balloon, y'all. I swear. But TO BE FAIR, it wasn't quite as obvious in the original game as you can see here:

It just looked like a strange mystery bauble of sorts. BUT HEAR ME OUT. IT CREATES ELECTRICITY AND STATIC...IT HELPS HIM FLOAT.. BUT NOT ENOUGH FOR HIM TO FLY. HE STILL HAS TO FLAP HIS ARMS during battle because it's not quite powerful enough to keep him in the air on its own. To me, all of these things are enough to have made me think it MIGHT be a balloon...

And then the remake came out:

Not only did it increase in size, but it now has a less perfectly rounded shape closer to what you'd expect of a balloon + THE WAY IT MOVES. LOOK AT IT. It's so lightweight that it's not moving in sync with the rest of his body, implying it's a separate object attached to his head rather than an actual part of him.

THAT IS A BALLOON. And it's in theme given all of Fawful's inventions are wacked out to some degree and if you've played Bowser's Inside Story, you also know that he seems particularly fond of inflating things.

It's a hard question to answer bc I think this can play out a bit differently depending on the person but for me, I stopped waiting around and started to take initiative in my own life for everything. If I want to do something, I do it... or I work for it if it's something I can't do right away. Similarly, if want to talk to somebody, I go and talk to them. If they shut me down, then it's just not meant to be.

Everything involves risk and I know that's hard for anyone with chronic anxiety to hear but it's true. You have to take chances. As long as you sit around being nervous that things won't pan out and never act, then you're going to remain stuck in the same place emotionally for a very long time if not forever. There's a comfort in routine for many, even if that routine becomes one of depression and self isolation.

As for what kinds of people you've been around, it sounds like you need to put down harder boundaries going forward. Shut that sort of thing down before it gets bad, and try to seek out people who are confident in themselves and their identity. The older I get, the more I steer clear of deeply insecure people because although I feel for their plight deeply (I've been there before) it's just not healthy for me to be around it any longer and I know that about myself.

You're the reason I'm drawing and the man who helped me find myself again just by being you. I love you from the bottom of my soul, and I'll forever remember that fateful New Years Day in 2020 when you captured my heart.

I probably don't need to say that none of those people are in my life any longer, but their words still lingered for years in the back of my head. They spoke about the change in me as a bad thing, something that made them deeply uncomfortable around me in ways they weren't before. I had always been quiet and softspoken, even online. Easily embarrassed, afraid of being "too much" for those around me, like my very existence was an inconvenience at best. That was their comfort... a friend who acted as a quiet, easy listener. Someone who was afraid to speak up for herself, someone who allowed herself to be small. I won't bore you with all the details of how or why this happened to me, but just say I'm glad it's not the case any longer.

Who I became was new to them, but she was deeply familiar to me. All of this culminated when in 2024 I went on the wayback machine and managed to rediscover old posts, including blog entries on long-deleted accounts that I'd written as a teenager 10+ years prior. When I shared those posts with the friends I have today, they immediately asked if I'd written them because the energy felt exactly the same as the Faff they know now.

All this to say... if you find people passing in and out of your life as you grow into yourself, whether it's your first time or as a part of a broader healing journey (in my case) know that not everyone will be compatible with the person you become, and I promise you'll be better off for it by finding those who are.

Okay so I'm gonna try and write down a proper post with my thoughts on this pic and my thoughts on this Teto as a whole so please bare with me here

First off the whole lore they're building up here of Teto initially slowly abandoning her friends and them just... not caring for her after all this time, part of me wonders if this Teto is even gonna have a happy ending of some sort at this point 😭 I wanna hope she does but I'm not so sure anymore

And second off and this is gonna be me full on gushing but dude, I was so praying we were gonna get another official pic of this MV since I did see the other songs get official art after they reach a certain milestone, I saw Spoken For reach 10 million views earlier and I was like WE'RE GETTING NEW ART YESSSS!!!!!! I KNOW IT'S ANGSTY BUT IT'S STILL NEW ART OF HER I LOVE SEEING IT

I feel very bittersweet about this Teto tbh, on one hand a part of me is like "hell yes rhythm heaven Teto one of my favorite game series of all time and she's so cute!!!!" and on the other hand I'm like "NOOOOOOO SHE'S SUFFERING AND NOBODY'S THERE FOR HER 🥀🥀🥀🥀" and basically the conclusion here is uhhhhhh

I want to be the one that gives her a happy ending, that's all. She's the one Teto that made me completely fall head over heels over Teto as a whole, it was like a switch getting turned on in my brain. I love this whole MV with all my heart and what it represents. I just think she deserves to have something nice for once.

I made candied cranberries tonight :D Poke holes in and soak fresh berries in lemon lime soda and orange juice overnight, then the next day drain, cover in powdered sugar, and put in the oven for 10 minutes at 200F.
