         ‘     uh huh. because the little captain america shield     scribbled on it is totally mine.     ‘

(  he pulls a pen from his pocket and scribbles over the shield, drawing a black widow symbol in heavy ink.  )

‘  i think this ‘ disguise ’ is enough. 

(  he tugs at the horn-rimmed glasses ever-so-carefully placed on his nose.  )

‘  jesus --

(  he moves quickly to open his window for peter, pulling him in with a firm grip.  )

     ‘ yeah, you’d think, but look! olivia invited barbie to natalie’s instagram party. that’s totally a disaster in the making. ‘

(  a nod, before he’s moving to take a seat next to her. there’s something comforting about the normalcy of the situation.  )
