this is the only photo i have of my stepdad and my mom. i guess he’s not my stepdad anymore. this photo makes me sad because it symbolizes my mom’s undying support to him after he had a major stroke and had to learn how to walk and talk again. it makes me sad because he left too soon and it seems like all of that support was for nothing. this is a photo i’ve struggled to post and write about for a long time. it has been almost 6 months and this moment is almost like a dream to me. that garden is gone and so is he.
