can’t stop thinking about the mizisua/ivantill parallels in the new Zombie Stage comic it’s so fascinating to me how both Mizi and Till are constantly shown to be desperately clawing at control and autonomy that they are never granted by anyone around them, including their partners, and that Sua and Ivan’s reactions to that are both “okay, take that out of me, isn’t that the same thing?” despite actively contributing to that lack of autonomy. idk up until this point we have mostly seen Sua allow Mizi to control her in some desperate attempt to regain her autonomy while Ivan never grants Till any control in their interactions but I think it’s really interesting to see another instance of the ways they parallel each other because ultimately Sua’s allowance of Mizi’s control is just a surface level show she grants out of love rather than an actual gift of autonomy. yeah
also fascinating to me that both Mizi and Till turn to violence as an attempt to gain autonomy and both Sua and Ivan actively encourage that violence to be turned on them. yeah. the ways they parallel each other fascinates me
