ABOUT
Vasili Vronsky | 27 | Bratva | Bill Skarsgard
There aren’t many people who know what it feels like to be born with a silver spoon slotted safely in their mouths but for Vasili Vronsky, that’s exactly what happened. The youngest of the Vronsky family was spoilt, entitled and reckless; all products of his upbringing. He had everything he could possibly want, care of his mother who only wanted to dote on their children, and father who wanted to try to placate Vasili to to stay out of his way. But Vasili was curious, and he knew that there was something different about his family. His father carried himself differently to the father’s of his friends, and he quickly began to realise that there was a certain level of power his family exerted.
He was a curious child, always pressing his ears up against the door to hear the secret meetings that his father seemed to always be having, but often he would be shooed away from someone at the door, or evade his father somehow. But he knew that whatever it was, it was interesting, or dangerous. He endeavoured to find out, but it seemed that every single time his father would close the door, there was a burly looking man at the door with a very discerning expression, ready to turn him away.
School was a different experience for the youngest Vronsky . He didn’t pay much attention at the international boarding school in Moscow, despite being quite capable - or so his parents would always be told on his report cards. No, Vasili was sure that wherever he ended up, it would be a similar path to his father, or brother, handed to him on a silver platter. So he spent most of his time partying, somewhat paying attention in class, and just toeing the line, making sure that he didn’t cause too much trouble for his father.
Enrolling in college was just to follow the trend, but he found freedom, true freedom, in the short time he was there. He partied, drank and used whatever he could get his hands on, and unfortunately it ended perpetuating his reckless behaviour. His parents tried to talk to him, but he was too far gone, without the boundaries that stopped most people from doing whatever they wanted. He found himself chasing the high, whether that came in the form of substances or adrenaline or adventures, nothing seemed to be out of reach.
When he dropped out of college, it wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone, and he found himself lingering, until he was introduced to the life of crime that he had suspected from his parents long ago. Over the years, he had a few girlfriends but he found his true passion was in violence and was quickly introduced to the world of the mafia and given the position of advisor to his brother. Now, he often finds himself either at the clubs, making sure things were running smoothly, or at headquarters, trying to keep himself out of trouble.
CONNECTIONS
☓ Zephyr Vronsky / The Older Brother — There aren’t many people who can control Vasili but aside from his father, Zephyr comes a close second. He knows that his father would forgive him for whatever indiscretion he’s committed, having a soft spot for the youngest Vronsky , but disappointing his oldest brother feels different. He would never intentionally disappoint Zephyr and damage the bonds between them, and it’s what keeps him striving to try find his place within the mafia.
☓ Brooke Davenport / The Best Friend — When they first met, it was undeniable to Vasili that there was something about the girl that he couldn’t seem to ignore. She was different to all the other entitled students at the boarding school in Moscow and his peers, and he found himself gravitating towards her. She’s always there for him, and even though he's not good at saying it aloud, he very much appreciates her in his life.
☓ Isabella Marino / The Ex-Girlfriend — This was classified as perhaps his first ‘real’ relationship, in that it had happened in a natural way. They met when they were both in college, just before he decided to leave, and their relationship, whilst tumultuous, was one that he had held value in. Unfortunately, an evening when he let the alcohol take over and fuel his rage saw her witnessing his most violent side towards a stranger who had cast him a look he didn’t appreciate and she’d promptly broken up with him. They haven’t spoken since.
