• Basic etiquette required (no hatred towards others regarding their gender, sexuality, ethnical, PoC, etc) & RP etiquette (no god-modding, mind reader, vagueposting, etc); please reblog memes from source or send some in return (just don't overwhelm me with too many please orz)
• I am not EN native, i'm Brazilian so please be nice to me and my possible typos & mannerisms. i don't get well with people mocking me too, and it makes me discouraged.

• My knowledge about US dubs for digimon are very limited and comes from friends based in US. My portrayal comes from the JP version (subbed) & Brazilian dubs. I use a mix of OG names and some dub names, but there's times i will pull the "secret third option" (like using Horusmon instead of both Holsmon or Halsemon. I hate those two with a burning passion)
• I can and will go canon divergent with certain stuff, following the concept explained here by my friend about canon & non-canon. For more details, check the Advverse timeline post.
• Pre-stabilished relationships are reserved to canon characters. Shipping is reserved only to my friends, or if we both decide to go with that route. Crossovers & OCs shipping are limited to friends only, but friendships/rivalry/found family sort of dynamics are pretty OK, just let me know more about your muse first, please. BTW, check my crossover list for awareness on what i have basic knowledge of and what i won't write about. Also, won't write about cheating, each ship exists in their own verse.
• I'm OK with duplicates, but please do not use my HCs and musings without asking me first orz (Also! I write their partner-mons too!!)

Hi, I'm Ni/digitalgate02 (She/They; 25↑), I love Digimon in general, but the series I work with more is the OG Adventure series. I'm Ace/Panromantic, please use she/her or they/them pronouns. I'm a scaredy-cat kind of person who gets nervous and anxious at first, but once we start bonding I'll drop that and be more of myself. I love to learn new things, so please correct me if needed but without yelling at me because I kind of hate being yelled at, because I had bad personal life experiences in the past. My muses, despite some being quite closer to my personality are NOT me so please be aware of the differences between muse and writer.
I get super duper fired up when talking about the things I love the most. However I can be quite harsh and critical about said stuff as well. I tend to get a lot of brainstorms so if I’m messaging you that much please tell me and I will slow down my pace.
I also get excited when writing a thread, so I tend to reply hella quickly while I still have in mind what to say. Don’t rush me, but give me small reminders if I forget to reply since there’s a chance I actually forgot to or thought it was your turn when in fact I hadn’t replied in the first place.
I also draw. Like, a lot. Quite compulsive. Some of my non-canon-material icons are my own art. And I feel a bit uncomfortable by using other people’s fanart WITHOUT their permission. So yeah, I do my own doodled icons… When I get energy for those.

what i meant for Takeru and my take on him is like he didn't know himself well enough and there were so many BS happening thru his life, so he only discovered it *after* he got his son, i've seen cases like these before iirc? that's my thought.
i've seen a lot of people discovering their true selves at very old age, even famous people. i don't think Takeru's case was "out of fear" tho, it was just the usual "spent too much time focused on others and on anything else that once he realized he was actually already old and then found his true self finally."

But remember when i mentioned about how i perceive Rui as enby because he stands out from everyone else and he doesn't feel like he's cis to me?
I have this impression part of this discovery in-universe has roots on him having a digimon eye for a while and believing he didn't fit anywhere anymore. Like, he probably never felt he belonged to somewhere and Ukkomon pulling the strings due to losing control over the situation -- mainly because Rui continued to not communicate enough, therefore Ukkomon started to get desperate and assume Rui's smile meant he was happy... when the truth was he got ugly trauma and never had given a chance to have a taste, his mom would pick everything for himself and if he refused, she would punish him for 'disobeying' her -- had worsened the scenario and Rui's psychological health (since Rui lacks emotional cognition, so he really doesn't think enough about the others' feelings and etc) and he also has shown the same abusive behavior his mom had too (= false claims about someone, violent streak, etc)
But now he got a digimon eye and had to try hiding it, he possibly had to dealt with some rumors about himself, and it could go both ways -- he would use it at his advantage to isolate himself from the others, but he would also get bugged by being treated like a non-human being.
Yet, the concept of "not belonging to either male or female" suits him, since he probably noticed it later imo. It feels like accurate to him, that he didn't want to be any, and would be himself. So I think he would perceive himself either as enby, agender or genderqueer instead (the latter is how me, the mun, feels lately tho) -- Rui is Rui, no matter what. If he's this or that, it doesn't matter. he's himself, and he's free to be whoever he wants to be, whatever he wants to like and dislike. And I really think it suits him?
ya know, the 02 group is kinda selfless compared to Rui? they tend to want to either please others, or to be useful for others
they think on everyone else before themselves
like, they do whatever they want to, but they also have more tendencies to think on others before themselves
meanwhile Rui lacks that, he only realizes his mistakes and flaws when they're all about himself, right?
he sucks at thinking on the others and how they will react to his actions
besides that he gave me the impression he (and i say Wallace too) prefer to follow their own path and views, so they are better with people that are quite independent or share the same views and beliefs they have
so maybe that's why the idea of dropping him in a group made out of Wallace, Meiko, Menoa, Maki and Daigo seems tempting?

"HUMANS FROM ANOTHER WORLD . . . ?" Agumon narrows his gaze onto Noel. " . . . So the legends are true. The gates still stand . . ." He seems to ponder on this, dangerously so. Nata feels a small shudder of uncertainty roll down his back.
And thus the group was collected swiftly and successfully. For ease of transport, the older members of the group were gathered out of their nets and had their hands bound, to be lead along towards the village. Kudamon's small size unfortunately, lead him to being kept in his own separate little net, much to the digimon's protest.
The journey wasn't quick, but they reached the village before nightfall; a small, quaint hamlet built within the canyon walls and fulgurite structures. From between buildings carved of stone and terracotta, blue shards of crystal dangle like string lights, their shivering chime like music in the faint breeze.
If not for the fact that they were being taken hostage by this group, they might have seen it as beautiful. Fences of carved acacia wood pointed upwards like stakes, guarding the surrounding walls and gardens. Stone of similar blue color was etched into the homes and paths, adding color to an otherwise earthy palette.
The agumon were quick to stowaway their captives. Nata, Rui, and their fellow humans would be rounded up and brought into the dark confines of what could best be described as a cell made of stony terracotta walls. As for the digimon, sans Noel, they were taken elsewhere, to somewhere in the village unknown.
A few moments after they were locked into the space, Nata began to fidget and writhe in his binds. For being made of plant fibers, the rope around his wrists were surprisingly strong, and they kept him bound to a wooden post towards the center of the room.
Fantastic. His lip curls in a frown, and he wrinkles his nose in thinly veiled frustration. If there was one thing they could at least take advantage of, it was that the Agumon had fallen for Noel's disguise . . .
Rui was honest about it. Being stuck in a cell and waiting for their end... Wonderful.
"Ok, but they definitely kept me with you guys" Noel blinked, still not sure what happened, "Even so if I'm not technically human..."
"They... Oh, you're right!" Youta noticed it quickly, "For the first time ever, your human form actually worked against a digimon."
"Hehehe..."
That sparkle in Noel's eyes proved that he was up to no good. Being a shapeshifter means he can take the form and identity he wanted, and a terrible, terrifying idea popped in his mind.
Maybe if he could convince the Agumon tribe and their chief... But the way they treated Gotsumon and Elecmon, it could mean no matter the digimon... They will treat those who try to object to the mentioned code will be seen as traitors.
"... I think spending this time 'recharging' has been a good idea..." that devious smirk... Oh this meant...
Noel walked to the shadows of the cell, trying to avoid being seen by the guards, if they were around. Then, he snapped his fingers and magically the rope undo the knots. Next, he just made an illusion of himself still tied, and finally... Took the form of one of those Agumon.
"It's show time~"
"Hey! HEY, GUARDS!! GUARDS!!"
An Agumon was shouting inside the cell, calling for their attention. And once they came, the Agumon just...
"You guys left me behind and locked me inside by accident. Can you please take me out of here?"

there's no evidence that Daisuke ever had confessed his love for Hikari in canon.
"but Natsu e no Tobira--" that whole story is narrated by Daisuke himself, and Daisuke is not a reliable narrator. Daisuke never stated he got romantically rejected by Hikari, it's Chibimon who keeps putting it that way, and Chibimon is also an unreliable source.
there's chances Daisuke spent all his time waiting for that moment and it never happened, then he focused on his life goal's instead.
Maybe it's a pet peeve but Natsu e no Tobira is not a trustworthy canon evidence of Daisuke getting his feelings rejected by Hikari.
1- Daisuke is known to take things too literally, and prone to dramatize it.
2- He never said it, it was Chibimon and Chibimon does the same thing as him, so…
3- Daisuke mentions he only invited Hikari to go to the beach with him, and she refused. I don't think he meant it romantically because he would've been even more vocal and not very upset everything on that week went south. Chibimon continues treating it as love confession rejection instead.
So i have the impression Daisuke NEVER confessed his feelings for Hikari, because he kept waiting for the right moment for it, and it never came. Then, he started to focus more on his life goal and moved to NYC later. imo, he never confessed his feelings for her at all.
point 3 is… you clearly remember he made a fucking fuss when she said she hated people who badmouthed about their siblings, right?
the way he does in the drama CD is not overdramatic as this imo
so that's why i think it's not a love confession at all
