My stickers arrived! ♪

I got three sheets of the little Vargas headshots I've been working on lately, with some overlap between the sheets for a decent spread and the option of a few multiples just in case

And little was right!! They are! So tiny!!!!!!! I genuinely wasn't expecting them to be so small, wow!!!! They're so cute <3 I was actually worried they might be over-sized based on how big they were at 100% view in SAI, I'm just glad they printed as well as they did at such a tiny scale!

I also got a mini Helix sheet and it's Even smaller eee ♥

Speaking of Helix, I also got some die-cut stickers previously, I can't believe a full Sheet of stickers is so much smaller than the individual stickers themselves! Cuute!!! 💕

And going along with my papercraftiness of late, I also made a little accordion folder to store stickers in lol

The basic design is from this video but I added a ribbon to the back interior as a closure since I don't have any foam sheets haha

#There's technically more - there's more stickers in the accordion and I ordered a larger item both times #The link to the sticker reference from last time showed off a little preview of it haha #Part of it is while the QA has turned out fine so far - I made a mistake in uploading one of the sticker pages so that's on me lol #I included the dieline as part of the printable design oooops - good to look out for next time!#I've also been thinking about full-bleed/backgrounded stickers rather than a white background lately too.... Some other time #Point Being - everything looks like it was printed with what I sent in and now I get to see if my mistake turns out to be a happy accident #But the bigger items - especially the latest - requires more skill than I'm currently capable of to see through how I want it #Even without my intended addition it's still cute but rrhmnngh I want it to be a specific way! And I can't yet!#So - stickers for now for now hopefully I can return to the others soon #I am very pleased with these :3 I have another project dedicated specifically to giving the Vargases and co. an on-page forever home #I hope it goes well ahhhh I'm very excited about it but it's also a pretty big test of skills I'm less practiced in!!#It's also maybe a Little unfortunate because in making that little sticker-organizer accordion I have been using construction paper #Y'know just to use up supplies I've had around that aren't So pretty that I want to save them #And have learned that it feels!! Terrible!!!!!! Lol it's just veryyyy dry and porous and dehydrating to touch #Probably not great for the paper either to soak up skin oils and definitely not fun for my hands lol #And I've opted to use that same paper for my bigger project too....#Well hopefully I won't be touching it all That often lol it's not going to be All throughout the project unlike the organizer haha #Whole dang thing! No this upcoming one will just have it as a feature #Still not ideal but I'm working with what I've got and Hopefully - hopefully! It will turn out nicely #💟#Woe - tiny stickers be upon ye lol

I know lol, my handwriting being hard for others to read has been on my mind again lately

It's part of why I have Vargasplates on hold for the moment - I have something like a dozen more scripts in the works and then intimidated myself out of working on them because I want them to be accessible - I want them to be readable, I want them to be to the quality not only that I see in my head but so they can be enjoyed more easily by others haha

I'll get back to it eventually, I always do hehe

Got the bandages matching yessss #And then held Handplates' ''That's the way the cookie crumbles'' in mind for K and Scriabin's exchange up top #It's interesting since Scriabin has Papyrus' fully covered eye bandages and Edgar the singular eye - there's no perfect 1:1 between subjects #I've been thinking more along the lines of Scriabin with Sans' traits - more secretive and angry of the two #And Edgar with Papyrus traits - a bit more trusting and tries to appeal in his own ways to their captor #But it's still not a perfect fit! They're both able to take the physical abuse she doles out due to neither being particularly delicate #And they're mean to each other on purpose <3 They're all very different people! That's what makes it fun to put them in Situations hehe #It's been fun to pull inspiration from specific Handplates comics as well - I have a couple more that use a theme from one or another #I have not been paying attention to where in that timeline I've been pulling from tho lol - everything Vargasplates is post-plate equivalent #RIP to the cute baby shenanigans lol ♪ Tho I did have a tiny thought in that direction...... Probably noncanon tho lol #AnyWay pft - a surprising amount of this one was also inspired by thinking about the bandages themselves! And Scriabin making K mad haha #Extending the timeline is Not their decision it's hers and once she has the next step planned you Better ask ''how high''#I quite like how she turned out with the harder outline while Scriabin's monologuing hehe <3 She's so prettyyy <3 <3 #Can't see her glaring at him - not that he's ever stopped for getting a negative reaction! His self-destructive tendencies still in action #He really doesn't want to give her the satisfaction of putting voice to his pain - Now he wants to be quiet too little too late #But unfortunately for him she can just keep pushing until they break without doing any damage that would impede her work #Burning feels appropriately hands-off - and something skin-specific! Nice - somehow it's hard to imagine her taking a blade to them #They have cuts like she did but hm! Guess I'll just have to draw it to find out pft #And once again just kicking him out to go find his way back to Edgar - or Edgar coming to get him! He knows he's still blinded #Heard his little whimpers bouncing down the void towards him and went to pick him up haha #Scriabin was only supposed to be going for an eye checkup so Edgar noticed the unexpected new bandages - ''another'' hm? :)#Scriabin is also part of everyone! I'd need to reread to be sure oh noooo~ Lol #But I think the exchange between K and the Vargases about Scriabin drawing attention from the waste lock creature(s) would be Different #Maybe she would still make mention of it! A lot of stressful things have happened between then and now and without the visual reminder #Edgar's not exactly on his A game about keeping everything straight in his head - but he can figure it out once he calmed down #Does that a lot haha will he ever get used to it! They can both jump to conclusions and act on them as much as Edgar tries not to hehe #Seeing Scriabin as apparently-hurt as he was got him momentarily panicky but then Scriabin was weird and cagey about it - unlike him!#Normally he'd complain about how awful K's being to him/them but he didn't this time - then it clicked hehe #Meanwhile Scriabin is having a bad time of it all - did Not want to face these particular emotions today! Other than Scriabin those don't count haha #He came in with those - kind of #I must admit I did forget he has his scars in Ch. 28 - I'll lore my way out of it! Just watch me! Haha #They were meant to have reverted to their Base States - thus why Edgar's hair is short again #He does have his own shoulder scar for the record - it's just barely hidden under the gown haha #He's never been particularly adept at changing his own appearance anyway - but Scriabin has!#Makes Not being able to change things (for the most part) much more frustrating for him hehe #Scriabin didn't consciously will-away his scars - when his and Edgar's clothes were swapped for the hospital gowns he did it on instinct #Since their shoulders are bare it would show them way more than his t-shirt! He refused that level of vulnerability hard enough to hide them #Edgar would be So annoying about it and they're a reminder of what they mean to each other - yucky emotionality ew just get rid of 'em #They're not actually gone tho - I can't decide if I like the idea of them still feeling like scars if you touched him even while hidden?#I think probably not but strictly for practical purposes lol - K is still able to alter their appearances! More than just stabbing them lol #And while she kept this box unchecked for now - overriding Scriabin's abilities mostly to prove a point - I think she'd toggle it at will #Mostly for ease of injecting him lol hard to get a needle through so much scar tissue!#So that's my justification for his scars being visible or not! Pleased with the effect :) I've been imagining their dialogue exchanges as the Undertale white-on-black but that's difficult on paper #It's neat to see their fonts in this style of speech bubbles :D I don't have either of their exact fonts I don't think but I have close'n's!#I did have a lot of fun with their speech bubble tails hehe - hers stays smooth while his gets all wiggly and upset #This would be Very early on - before any of the experiments have been administered! Stop trying to help him! He's meant to replace you! Stop feeling fondness this instant!#Like fretting over him isn't going to deepen those feelings in their own way #And like only letting Scriabin heal Edgar isn't going to open up a host of conflicting feelings haha #She's not Exactly bluffing about separating them but the main reason she hasn't so far is so Edgar doesn't rile himself up #Scriabin needs access to Edgar but again it doesn't have to go the other way! Other than giving him something to focus on #A broken host would be very counterproductive ugh fine you can stay with him but no you can't heal him - lesser of annoyances #Scriabin will be fine btw she's monitoring him carefully - moreso than Edgar anyway haha Scriabin's a bit more in her wheelhouse #It really is easy to find terrible things to do to eyes within Zarlaverse haha what luck ♪ Managed to get both bandages at the same time!!#Still shuffled around a little timewise but hey! Matching bandages to the original I'm very pleased hehe <3 #I like these two's dynamic a surprising amount actually - Edgar sasses in his passive way and K's so blunt haha #Doesn't indulge him much especially if she's not in the mood to talk about things - where's the fun in spilling everything!#Will just mess with the results - what if they placebo themselves into or out of whatever she's trying to achieve? Best to be vague #And still deferring to her as well! He's in no position to be demanding things but even still calling her ma'am! I like when he's polite #In this case he's pretty worried and scared for Scriabin - they both get pretty panicky without the other #He'll be back to sassing her proper-like once Scriabin's awake again haha #In my current timeline this one is set pretty soon before Scriabin's hair falling out - and Edgar was plenty willing to ask questions after!#There's something Very about the tormentor providing clinical care to the abductee - not done out of care or concern but still want you well #To an end! Conditionally! But momentarily soft treatment is still called for to that specific end #Something that looks like proof that things could be different but for the circumstances - and yet the circumstances persist #Unfortunately I don't really see a Mercyplates opportunity for this trio :') It's hard to imagine any alternative honestly!#Can't Momplates or any of the accidental-discovery threads where Gaster doesn't die - nobody else to help them. But nobody came :(

Such beautiful imagery ah #Fiiinally got to use the yarn-blood in the healing void like I'd been wanting to for years augh #Just had to wait for all the inspiration to coalesce and then look what happened lol #This would be the first time she's hurt one of them enough to go unresponsive - Edgar's awake and really wishes he wasn't #Letting Scriabin in to heal him sets a precedent! He's going to want to do this every time now! Kinda works in her favour honestly haha #Scriabin needs access to his host and if they can heal each other that'd save her a lot of time and energy #Just dump them back on the other lol you figure it out if you want him up and around so bad #Scriabin does Not do well by himself and has been increasingly stressed out for it every time they're separated #But especially every time he's left on his own - gets very clingy and talkative once Edgar's back but he can't do that when he's like this!#It is admittedly a little strange that she wouldn't stick around to keep them under observation for this... She must be Very short on time #Guess she does leave them alone in the Not-Healing Void for stretches at a time lol what worse could they get up to!#Scriabin doesn't have his usual abilities - or wings for that matter - so no scissors for him here #Has to touch and hold and pull the trauma-yarn with his soul hands I'm sure he was wholly unaffected #Considering he had his wings in Time To Get Up that'd be set before their ''shared childhood'' and before Edgar held the yarn #Again I'm sure he's fine and not at all freaked out by that or what healing means vis a vis empathy and emotional vulnerability :) He's fine #It's also not Quite their inner line to each other but it's definitely something! Uh oh lol #This would be fairly early on actually - they probably wouldn't be Quite this injured yet #They definitely wouldn't have their matching arm bandages and probably not Edgar's neck bandages...#Problem with trying to get a feel for their injuries on the fly haha - want them to be consistent but also accurate! Augh #Well the point of scribbles is to just get the idea down so - tag corrections! These injuries are unfortunately exaggerated at this point #Love the immediacy with which Scriabin flips her off lol he has to be disrespectful it's very important #She did ask that they act normally!
