Other than Scriabin those don't count haha #He came in with those - kind of #I must admit I did forget he has his scars in Ch. 28 - I'll lore my way out of it! Just watch me! Haha #They were meant to have reverted to their Base States - thus why Edgar's hair is short again #He does have his own shoulder scar for the record - it's just barely hidden under the gown haha #He's never been particularly adept at changing his own appearance anyway - but Scriabin has!#Makes Not being able to change things (for the most part) much more frustrating for him hehe #Scriabin didn't consciously will-away his scars - when his and Edgar's clothes were swapped for the hospital gowns he did it on instinct #Since their shoulders are bare it would show them way more than his t-shirt! He refused that level of vulnerability hard enough to hide them #Edgar would be So annoying about it and they're a reminder of what they mean to each other - yucky emotionality ew just get rid of 'em #They're not actually gone tho - I can't decide if I like the idea of them still feeling like scars if you touched him even while hidden?#I think probably not but strictly for practical purposes lol - K is still able to alter their appearances! More than just stabbing them lol #And while she kept this box unchecked for now - overriding Scriabin's abilities mostly to prove a point - I think she'd toggle it at will #Mostly for ease of injecting him lol hard to get a needle through so much scar tissue!#So that's my justification for his scars being visible or not! Continuity error? I think you mean neat sideplot lol #More little details - I like to think she's a bit more bemused with Scriabin than Edgar when he does something interesting haha #''Huh didn't know you could do that that's kind of interesting'' <proud of her coding work hehe whereas with Edgar's he's just a nuisance ♪#Also she's still holding a clipboard! Pleased with the effect :) I've been imagining their dialogue exchanges as the Undertale white-on-black but that's difficult on paper #It's neat to see their fonts in this style of speech bubbles :D I don't have either of their exact fonts I don't think but I have close'n's!#I did have a lot of fun with their speech bubble tails hehe - hers stays smooth while his gets all wiggly and upset #This would be Very early on - before any of the experiments have been administered! Priming Edgar for what to expect #Where are the void medical release forms I don't remember signing anything #She's getting his baseline for what she can recreate without completely freaking him out - Eldritch Horror style rather than regular horror #Poor Edgar has had a lot of horrible things done to him tho so there's quite a large pool for her to draw from #Options! Stop trying to help him! He's meant to replace you! Stop feeling fondness this instant!#Like fretting over him isn't going to deepen those feelings in their own way #And like only letting Scriabin heal Edgar isn't going to open up a host of conflicting feelings haha #She's not Exactly bluffing about separating them but the main reason she hasn't so far is so Edgar doesn't rile himself up #Scriabin needs access to Edgar but again it doesn't have to go the other way! Other than giving him something to focus on #A broken host would be very counterproductive ugh fine you can stay with him but no you can't heal him - lesser of annoyances #Scriabin will be fine btw she's monitoring him carefully - moreso than Edgar anyway haha Scriabin's a bit more in her wheelhouse #It really is easy to find terrible things to do to eyes within Zarlaverse haha what luck ♪ Managed to get both bandages at the same time!!#Still shuffled around a little timewise but hey! Best to be vague #And still deferring to her as well! He's in no position to be demanding things but even still calling her ma'am! I like when he's polite #In this case he's pretty worried and scared for Scriabin - they both get pretty panicky without the other #He'll be back to sassing her proper-like once Scriabin's awake again haha #In my current timeline this one is set pretty soon before Scriabin's hair falling out - and Edgar was plenty willing to ask questions after!#There's something Very about the tormentor providing clinical care to the abductee - not done out of care or concern but still want you well #To an end! Conditionally! But momentarily soft treatment is still called for to that specific end #Something that looks like proof that things could be different but for the circumstances - and yet the circumstances persist #Unfortunately I don't really see a Mercyplates opportunity for this trio :') It's hard to imagine any alternative honestly!#Can't Momplates or any of the accidental-discovery threads where Gaster doesn't die - nobody else to help them. But nobody came :(

Such beautiful imagery ah #Fiiinally got to use the yarn-blood in the healing void like I'd been wanting to for years augh #Just had to wait for all the inspiration to coalesce and then look what happened lol #This would be the first time she's hurt one of them enough to go unresponsive - Edgar's awake and really wishes he wasn't #Letting Scriabin in to heal him sets a precedent! He's going to want to do this every time now! Kinda works in her favour honestly haha #Scriabin needs access to his host and if they can heal each other that'd save her a lot of time and energy #Just dump them back on the other lol you figure it out if you want him up and around so bad #Scriabin does Not do well by himself and has been increasingly stressed out for it every time they're separated #But especially every time he's left on his own - gets very clingy and talkative once Edgar's back but he can't do that when he's like this!#It is admittedly a little strange that she wouldn't stick around to keep them under observation for this... She must be Very short on time #Guess she does leave them alone in the Not-Healing Void for stretches at a time lol what worse could they get up to!#Scriabin doesn't have his usual abilities - or wings for that matter - so no scissors for him here #Has to touch and hold and pull the trauma-yarn with his soul hands I'm sure he was wholly unaffected #Considering he had his wings in Time To Get Up that'd be set before their ''shared childhood'' and before Edgar held the yarn #Again I'm sure he's fine and not at all freaked out by that or what healing means vis a vis empathy and emotional vulnerability :) He's fine #It's also not Quite their inner line to each other but it's definitely something! Uh oh lol #This would be fairly early on actually - they probably wouldn't be Quite this injured yet #They definitely wouldn't have their matching arm bandages and probably not Edgar's neck bandages...#Problem with trying to get a feel for their injuries on the fly haha - want them to be consistent but also accurate! Augh #Well the point of scribbles is to just get the idea down so - tag corrections! These injuries are unfortunately exaggerated at this point #Love the immediacy with which Scriabin flips her off lol he has to be disrespectful it's very important #She did ask that they act normally! And then they do :) Scriabin's still a liiiiittle sore about everything they got up to in life haha #His words and his actions never fully line up <3 But neither do Edgar's haha they're both bad at this!#If Edgar won't let Scriabin protect him then fine! He'll hurt him too! Scriabin no #Edgar is still very strongly conditioned to defer to Scriabin when he gets in this kind of mood their dynamic is so healthy :')#And unfortunately for him he no longer has anyone on his side to tell Scriabin off for being mean to him #K's definitely not going to do it - the whole point was to make Edgar small and manageable and easily swept aside! As a little treat haha #I really like Edgar getting to talk to someone who knows Scriabin's Deal™ and what would've happened to him :3 #He wasn't there when Scriabin walked his body around! Never saw how different Scriabin was out front!#He knew some of the more obvious tells - his coat being one of Scriabin's preferred manner of dress #But so much of it was in such short bursts - overall Edgar was still the primary owner of his body and had the final say on a lot #The temporary belonged to Scriabin where the longterm was Edgar's - even if his hair was longer when they died that was an outlier haha #But I really wonder what Scriabin would have changed of him if he'd developed as intended!#Some things are fixed - like his scars - but much of the rest of him is pretty malleable #Or would be if he survived lol it's still such fun to me that the waste lock was the only thing keeping them alive after a point hehe ♥#How was Scriabin meant to develop with the company Edgar keeps! Hehe #I do like him snapping about not having a center part in particular haha - wouldn't be caught dead looking like Edgar of all people yuck!#He always looks so cute with short hair <3 #Edgar doing some serious comforting by specifically touching him near his yarn to draw attention to it - a Scriabin-specific feature!#I didn't draw it as this already went long but the one where Edgar's holding and petting him - Scriabin's referring to the yarn coming loose #It eventually fell out and he had to re-tie it to the longest strands of what was left of his hair and it was very upsetting #His body isn't supposed to betray him! It's supposed to be an extension of his self! And his yarn is very important to him!#He looks so cute when he's crying hweh Edgar being strong for him! Even if he's way out of his depth haha #If only Scriabin could see the version of him whose hair Did all fall out! Starting all the way over! Still doesn't look like Edgar tho #Scriabin is never satisfied no matter what it's very important <3 #At least Edgar's willing to reassure him! The codependency sweetness ah how else will they survive! Both need it #Scriabin having to rely on Edgar without lashing out at him too harshly... It's a tough spot now that they can't feel each other #Needs those external check-ins now that they're apart! Hates everything about this! Hates still needing him so much #Would be so much worse without him tho - it feels bad but that would feel so so awful to be the only one like Edgar anymore

They'd be apart here too but at least they're together and Scriabin looks how he should! Mostly - clothes in particular #And fresh injuries and scars haha and also maybe a few more things I'd like to do to them ahem ahem lol #I really like how defeated Edgar is in being told he's being punished haha :') K being a very blunt straight-shooter about it!#Him calling her ''ma'am'' and her reprimanding him while injecting him with some mystery substance that will surely hurt more later #Because somewhere on some level he feels like he's finally paying penance to a higher being? Hehe #It's uncomfortable ♪ My favourite!! ♫
