don't have anyone else to tell this, so: my grandfather died of cancer almost exactly a year ago (he was very young). i never got to say goodbye. last night, i had a dream where i got to visit him in a cozy, warm room. i held his hand and we just sat there in silence. eventually, i got this feeling that it was time to leave, so i kissed his forehead and left. funny thing is, i never felt upset or sad when he died, but in the dream i was, like i was finally acknowledging that he was gone. i woke up and felt so at peace that it was unreal
