Tae

Jungkook looked at the bar stool and nodded, taking a seat beside the stranger. He quickly ordered a glass of water, feeling the heat from both the environment and his embarrassment. he quickly downed the entire glass- not looking away from Yoongi’s friend. He felt himself be looked up and down, shifting slightly at the travelling eyes. Perhaps this was a good sign, maybe he wanted to be friends.

“Photography?” Jungkook asked, quite surprised. “You’re so attractive I would’ve thought that you would take up modelling.” he couldn’t help but say. However, he immediately regretted his response, his eyes growing large.

“I-I didn’t mean it like that! Oh my god, why did i say that.” He shook his head. “Good for you for taking photography! I don’t know why I said that- i’m such a mess. Im sorry.” He shook his head, rambling out apologies. “I-I do studio arts, painting, drawing and a bit of photography too.” He answered quickly, his cheeks bright red as he got another glass of water. When was Yoongi Hyung coming back to save him from his embarrassment?

“Hyu-” Jungkook tried, not wanting Yoongi to leave him alone. However, he knew it was already too late when he opened hi mouth. HIs lips pursed into a straight line, his gaze set on the ground and his shoes. He felt awkward. He hated being in public spaces like this- he didn’t have a problem with people going to parties as he had to live Yoongi going to parties his entire senior year, it wasn’t a big deal. However, he, Jeon Jungkoo, hated parties. Perhaps he would grow to like it as he adjusted to college, but for now, he hated them. 

His lip was pursed, gaze still set on the floor when he heard the boy’s voice. He looked up, his eyes slightly big. He let out an ‘um’, looking for possible escape routes before cursing at himself- he had told himself to make friends. He needed to have more than just one friend. “I-I’m new.” He spoke out, fiddling with his hands. He looked at the boy, he was attractive. Beautiful even. His eyes were kind and his hair looked soft, he wanted to run his fingers through them. 

What was he thinking? He was a complete stranger. He scolded himself for having these kinds of thoughts. Besides, he was straight. Right? 

He inhaled deeply before giving the boy an awkward smile. “What about you? A-are you new?” He cringed at himself; what kind of question was that? Of course he wasn’t new. What was he thinking? 

Yoongi was one of the last to arrive  at the party. Jungkook walking next to him, seemed a bit uncomfortable.

“Hey,” he said, “it’s gon be okay. People here aren’t high schoolers. Everyone’s chill. You’ll be fine.”

Jungkook nodded and Yoongi did not insist. He started looking for his best friend but thought a drink first might be a good idea. Spotting a familiar figure, he waved at Jungkook to follow him, a huge smile on his face. He approached Taehyung from behind. 

“Now now, that’s a nice ass you got there.”

He waited until Taehyung turned around in a startle before saying: “Ew, it’s only you, Taehyung-ah.”

The younger’s reaction caused Yoongi to laugh out loud. 

“Hyung,” Taehyung pout, “don’t be mean.”

“Come on, Taehyung-ah, you know you’re more than just a nice ass, right?”

“Yeah, whatever…” Taehyung took another sip of his drink. 

“Hey, I gotta go look for Hoseok. Would you mind keeping my friend company? That’s Jungkook, my childhood friend. Kook, this is Taehyung, he’s just a brat who hangs out at the apartment from time to time.”

Jimin had been so nervous but after the performance, he had forgotten all about his negative thoughts. As he came backstage, he immediately had his arms full of Taehyung and people were praising Hoseok and him from left and right. It was an amazing feeling, one he didn’t want to forget. “Ah, Tae! You’re being too sweet, shush.” He said, smiling brightly as he spoke. Taehyung always made him feel better about himself. He knew what to say to make him smile. He would always be eternally grateful for meeting him. He had never had a best friend like Taehyung before.

Jimin was very ready for the party after he had taken a shower and put on some make-up. He was wearing a navy blue silk blouse and black tight pants. The first three buttons on the blouse were unbuttoned, showing a bit of his chest and his collarbones when he moved. It wasn’t something he’d usually wear to a party but it was perfect for the occasion. Normally he wouldn’t stand out but today he had no problem with it. He wanted to let loose and be himself.

After some shots, Jimin made his way to the dance floor with a drink in his hand. He was moving his head from side to side and singing along to the music. He was easily moving his body with the music and twirled around towards the bar to search for Taehyung. He took anothe big sip from his drink before he started to dramatically mouth the lyrics towards his friend. He reached out his hand towards Taehyung and made a face of pain. He could be silly with his friend and Tae would always join him right away. He needed his friend on the dance floor, so dramatics were needed. He moved towards the other and finally grabbed his hand. Jimin downed the rest of his drink and set it down on the counter before he grabbed Taehyung’s hand and pulled him along. “Tae, let’s show all these boys what kind of ass they’re missing in their lives.” He said excitedly as they stopped somewhere in the middle of all the dancing students. He reached his arms around his best friend and squeezed his ass with his small hands. They were best friends, it was fine.

Jimin was very relieved after the dance performance, especially because it had gone well. Obviously he had his doubts where he wished he had done that one move just a little bit sharper but that was something Jimin always was going to have. He was a true perfectionist at heart and anyone who know him just a little bit knew that. The applause they received after their performance was deafening and that showed Jimin that he had nothing to worry about. The most important thing was pleasing the crowd, after all. It had been quite nerve wrecking to dance next to someone as amazing as Jung Hoseok but they had looked well together. Jimin made sure to view a video after they were done. He didn’t see much on the stage with his blindfold, after all.

Now was time for letting go and having fun. There was an after party and it was surely going to be a good one. Jimin entered with Taehyung and the first thing he noticed was the excessive amounts of alcohol that was set on what was without a doubt the drinks table. That was exactly what Jimin wanted. This was a night to celebrate and let go a little bit. Usually he wasn’t very wild at parties that were accessible for more people than just his friends but tonight would be different. Tonight it was fine if everyone got a glimpse of the real Park Jimin - not the fake innocent one.
