About The Artist: Van Afrika is best known for his residency at Drunken Kong’s Intention techno night at Womb nightclub in Tokyo. It is here where Van played on the same billing as techno heavyweights Wehba, Christian Smith, Arjun Vagale, Alberto Ruiz, D-Unity, Uto Karem and of course Drunken Kong. In 2019 Van Afrika followed a long standing dream to create his own label. About Rebellie: Rebellie was born with the intention of providing opportunity to talented techno artists from parts of the world less known. Rebellie means ‘Rebellion’ in Van Afrika’s native Afrikaans language. Its a two hour set because the modern one hour set 99% of promoters run does not let the DJ to work the energy in the room and allow creative freedom.
