When it comes down to it, sometimes the only person who will be there for you- is you. And goddamn, that’s okay. It’s fine. Wake up on a Saturday morning and grab a coffee. Sit at the bar and compliment your barista. Stop wondering why that one guy doesn’t love you. It doesn’t matter anyway. Don’t hesitate to call an acquaintance when you need someone to hear you out- you know you’d be there for anyone if they called you. Listen to your roommate complain about her boyfriend. Sing Demi Lovato in the shower. Stop drinking to excess when you’re alone and upset. Watch all of the shitty television you can stand. Go to the gym and make some progress. Start your internship applications. Do the shit you need to do because holy shit time is running out and here you are waiting for someone to save you… and no one is on their way.

ok i need to get something off my chest- if your relationship is so unsteady that you need to take “breaks” from each other. Run. holy fucking shit. run as fast as your legs will take you. Consider your best friend, have you ever had to take a break from them- god i hope not. I’ve never had to keep anything from or take a silent period from my best friend- so why would i demand anything less from a romantic partner? i wouldn’t. jesus christ, you deserve someone who will be your ride or die always and forever and: -forward thinking-, what’re you going to do about breaks when you’re living together? idk i just think it would be easier to end it now and find someone who is going to be there for you at all times like you deserve, ok.

a lot of people have been concerned about this post but it’s literally referring to that i have 5 different types of pasta in my apartment and no other food.
