I’m super excited to share what I’ve been cooking up for the last several months, BUT I did end up finishing it so close to Open the Floodgates, so I figured it would be a good idea posting it during that time.

So, I will be posting it initially on YouTube on the 15th, then reblogging it here and on Instagram on the 16th. I will also make an announcement here once it’s up on YouTube for anyone who wants to see it right off the bat.

Also, since I didn’t have much time to prepare more posts for Open the Floodgates, I will be taking this time to scrounge up old art, make sketches, etc, whatever I can to add to the movement.

I also heavily encourage others to participate! Fight for Rise! I will be reblogging Zee’s instructional post soon after this goes up, so please look at that if you’re interested!

Originally I wrote up a big ‘ol ramble for this, but it kinda spiderwebbed so I’m rewriting it to be short and sweet xP

Also, I’m most familiar with 2012 and ROTTMNT, so some of this may not apply to other versions!

I believe you mean if I like how the shows handle and represent violence?

I do think they could be a liiiittle bit more realistic with how fighting works; not really with choreography—I do like my fun fight sequences—but more-so with injury and risk. I think it would be fun to see them get injured for more than major arcs (Leo comas) or just bits, even if I did enjoy ROTTMNT Donnie’s ankle drama, and to see physical consequences of constant combat. More… quality of life scrapes, I suppose. Mistakes happen, injuries occur, and I want my turtles sent home on stretchers :>

Also, for them facing a villain literally named the Shredder, I’d expect them to get at least a little sliced and diced. But no, only blunt force trauma for these dorks

been thinking about a warriors/ROTTMNT AU for a while now—old hyperfixation is now returning full force GAH—so I decided to put together a Raph ref for fun

very happy with his shape; might be a while before I tackle the rest of them, but hopefully they turn out just as good!

I have never tried deviled eggs, so I can’t really say on that front!

But out of pancakes or waffles, I think I prefer the simplicity of a pancake—less shapes to strategically cut through. Loooove them with strawberries and/or blueberries, too, yum yum

But I also think I’m biased— /silly

Gonna address a couple things real fast before vanishing again

‼️First thing I wanna mention is that I will be finally going through my ask box! I know it’s been a while since I’ve answered any asks, and I want to apologize for taking so long to get to them. An unexpected amount of school work this last semsester, posting anxiety, and going abroad has held me back from tackling them for some time, but I’m going to try and run through them here soon! Thanks to anyone who has sent me any, there are a lot of very nice and funny ones in there, and again I apologize for taking so long to get to them :<

Second, I’m very close to finishing my next animation soon (praying I can lock in for these next few days) which will be posted on YouTube first and then reposted here in a few days after that. Super excited to share it—I’ve been working on it for a lot longer than I anticipated RAHH

Third, after I post this animation, I will be working on opening up commissions for a little while. Not sure how long that’ll take me, since I’ve never done them before, but hopefully fairly soon!

Lastly, I will be going through and simplifying my organizational tags so that I actually use them, and I’ll likely make another small announcement post when I do so.

I am also currently away on another trip so as much as I’d like to get some of these things done quickly, there is a chance I am still slow with them for a little while.

Completely missed the Donnie takeover for the weekly magma due to being horrendously busy with school, but I still wanted to draw something to show appreciation for my favorite turt!

I’ve always wondered what it would be like for Donnie to meet his future selves, as he alluded to the possibility in the movie, and I thought it would be interesting to see him interacting and working together with them! So, I drew both my bad future (far left) and good future (far right) Donnies to triple down on the ourple takeover

..when I saw the @weeklymagmas theme announcement for last weekend, I knew EXACTLY what I was gonna draw

BEHOLD!!!!! DRAG QUEEN FUTURE LEO!!!

I have been DYING to draw Future Leo in drag for AGES (because... c'mon... HE LITERALLY WOULD), but I never had the opportunity/time to do so. But the weekly magma was the perfect time to take a break from animating, and finally draw them out!

I'm overall really happy with how they turned out, especially the dress, but I fear I didn't push the makeup nearly enough. Though, I never really draw makeup... ever... so I suppose that's something for me to improve on later. I would like to draw them a lot more!

I haven’t gotten much progress done lately, but I’m hoping spring break will open up some free time for me to finish this!

I felt that I was relying too much on digital tools to shade instead of utilizing colors, so I decided to do traditional art to try and break away from the habit!

Also to give my brain a break while I studied for a test today, which helped tons

Anyways, anatomy is probably inaccurate and some drawings may be a bit messy as I only used pens and markers to reduce time, but it still helped with practice. I may be able to start doing this digitally? But it likely means I need to find some better shading pens
