Now of course, in the inevitable Gradence AU, this scene:

ends with Credence recognising Percival (who he realises was real all along, because Grindelwald was standing right next to him when he first saw Percival approach) and falling, weeping, into his arms, before Percival sweeps him away to the comfort of a safe house (and spends the night whispering sweet nothings and "I'm so, so proud of you, my boy, my darling angel" into his hair).

But I'm livid that they dragged him into a war in the first place.

My boy needs peace and comfort and cuddles and a day job at Kowalski's bakery.

I don't care that doesn't make good cinema. And btw, nobody needs Jakob to be a wizard. Let the guy run his shop with Queenie, whom nobody fears because witches and mindreading aren't real, silly.
