❝   fucking GROSS.  ❞ flora mumbled to themselves. a random SWEATY and DRUNKEN human had stumbled over their white go-go embellished feet, crashing into flora and leaving behind a small wet stain to their jacket. they were three seconds away from a MELTDOWN when they spotted a familiar face across the room. they waste no time making their way over quickly, desperate to get away from the sweaty party goer.   ❝ you have NO IDEA how happy i am to see somebody i KNOW around here. thank GOD. ❞  

it isn’t unusual for him to be QUIET. naturally, he’s not much of a talker. it can come across STANDOFFISH he’s been told. with the circumstances surrounding his life lately, his silence has only gotten worse and the last thing he wants to do is speak to anyone, but , he’s TRYING to do better. socialize MORE or whatever his therapist keeps telling him. try not to be so COLD.   ❝   so, what’s fun to do around here anymore? ….i’ve been caught up with the farm, i haven’t had much time to come down to the oceanfront lately..  ❞   excuses, excuses, excuses. he doesn’t go near the oceanfront anymore because he’s AVIDLY avoiding it and has been ever since his daughter’s mom up and left.

❝  pick a song, ANY song. ❞ slowly strumming his acoustic guitar, sound began DANCING off the strings, coming ALIVE with each stroke. those that had an invitation into his heart would KNOW that he was somewhat of a musical prodigy. bleucould play by ear, almost instantly knowing how to recreate his favorite melodies with EASE. no sheet music. just natural born talent, or instinct. 

there’s a classic look in their eye whenever they’re about to PICK someone’s brain.  ❝   I was listening to a podcast earlier where people were sharing their wildest stories from their childhood.   ❞   the many impulsive things they did as a preteen, mostly to put their absentee parents through HELL, run through their mind as they search for some of the worst they’ve got caught doing.   ❝   what’s the craziest most UNHINGED thing you did when you were younger?    ❞   they’re curious, and also in need of a good laugh.  ❝    I destroyed my piano teacher’s bathroom for NO reason at all other than the fact I was extremely bored and wasn’t very fond of her….though i did have a RAMPANT case of undiagnosed ADHD…   ❞  

❝   it’s a wall full of my students art work.  ❞     onyx points to a particular piece of work done by a kid named ROGER.  ❝    except, it’s not just ANY kind of art work.  ❞   upon closer examination one can see that these drawings all have ONE thing in common.   ❝   it’s the BANNED artwork board. the shit they could get SUSPENDED for, but instead i just add it to this wall.  ❞  he can’t help but laugh.   ❝   this one’s a drawing of him FLIPPING ME THE BIRD while i’m not looking, it’s hilarious, really.  ❞  

“ when i see people stress out about this gossip blog, i can’t help but wonder what kind of skeletons they are hiding in their closets, you know?” winter remarks, cocking his head and letting out a slight chuckle. “ like, is half the town cheating on their spouse? or are they just scared that they’ll get exposed for having weird kinks?” 

          “  honestly  ?  today  ,  a  child  from  my  class  last  year  ,  came  up  to  me  at  the  park  to  let  me  know  that  his  parents  are  finally  getting  a  divorce  because  his  father  is  a  cartsucker.  ”  single  moment  pause  for  her  to  take  a  long  sip  from  her  wine  glass.  “  i’m  not  entirely  sure  if  i’ll  ever  have  a  dull  day.  although  ,  i  don’t  think  that’s  what  you  asked  me  …  i’m  sorry  ,  head  is  full.  what  was  it  ?  ”          [   +   @vabeachstarters​   ]

of course caffeine in some sort of drink capacity was kam’s go-to to kick off her day. but when she was hitting the mid-day slump after getting stuck with helping to clean aquariums, she was in need of something sweet, potentially sugary. she just wanted to rope someone into her evolving plan of sorts first. “hey!” she greeted the first person she saw, near bouncing up to them with a coaxing smirk. “i’m in need of some kind of sweet drink. i’m thinking a smoothie possibly but i’m very open to suggestions.” hand on her hip, kam tilted her head to the side. “and in return for your help, i’ll buy ya one of whatever we decide to get. sound like a plan?”
