AWWWWW THANK YOU!!! I SO TOUCHED T_T YOU MADE MY DAY (i'm so sorry for the late reply🫠) 1) at first i obviously i begin with a grayscale sketch jumpscare

2) then i add a color layer that i set to "super light" (i also go with 'overlay' sometimes)

i dont worry so much about the colors at this point, i just put colors that i think are good enough the for the starting point this is how my colors look w/out any blending modes 💀💀💀

as i person with poor vision i confirm that this is how i see other people 🕳️🚶 3) for the next step i usually start tunning my grayscale layer i usually change only midtones, just as i did this time.

4) i merge color layer and grayscale layer 5) after that i set my brush to overlay. it's almost like a layer with a blending mode, except it's a brush i recommend using airbrush, or any other brush that originally doesn't have a lot of oppacity. (like watercolor, or some pastel)

5)i start slightly adding absolutely different tones i see how it turns out! from this point on i basically start painting. i constantly add and blend new colors i also change my brush's blending more to "color" or "multiply' from time to time

after this step i do a standard rendering by more defining what i already have
