Our research coodinator, Kelsey, co-presented with Christina Donaldson, RID, EDAC, LEED AP ID + C, to a group at Gensler for #PTSDAwarenessDay. The presentation focused on the need for inter-disciplinary awareness and cooperation for more successful and holistic treatment of combat-related PTSD in #Veteran populations. Kelsey spoke about our current #treatment study and how we're working to contribute to the ever-growing body of knowledge on PTSD and how we can lessen its effects on our Veterans. Dr. Morris enjoyed connecting with #Veterans and other service organizations at Veterans Coalition of Tarrant County's Summer Salute: A Call to Health and Wellness Services event to share information about our current #treatment and #research opportunities for Veterans in #DFW. We chatted with Maria Hamelers from Attitudes & Attire, Ron Shultz from Maverick Ministry, and Charlynn Johns from Stop One at Veterans Resource Center. So many great people doing great work for the community!

We'll be at the Summer Salute at the Resource Connection gymnasium in Fort Worth this Friday, June 28, from 10 am-1 pm. This event is open to everyone and will focus on health and wellness services for veterans. There will be veterans resources and information booths, including ours (UTD NeuroLab). You can find us passing out information about our treatment trial for combat-related PTSD. We are DoD funded and offer compensation to those eligible for our study.
