Update for our current situation

Recently we posted about finding an other artist’s comic with some similarities to OMC. Here’s the translated version of the other comic page posted in our blog to avoid any misunderstanding. Please, bear in mind that the dialogue is even more similar in our native language.

OMC (quotes from Ch. 3, pages 13-14): Did you hear it? The human fell into the underground. And the king’s son didnt’ take away its soul. How could he let the human get away? Is our prince really a wimp? The royal family protects the human? Traitors! There are more stronger monsters that Dreemurs.

The other comic: Why the human is still alive? This is wrong. Undyne is the captain of royal guard, she should do her job. At this rate monsters will never be free. Is she being friendly to a human? Is she being a wimp?

So far we have a 50/50 opinion about it. As we checked out the author didn’t copy the whole comic (which is actually a relief), but some elements were very similar.

Hey guys. Long time no see, huh. It's been a while since I updated this blog last time. To be honest, I thought I would never update it again, but then an unexpected situation has happened. So let's call it's an emergency. So, the "situation". Recently, my friend showed me pages of the Undertale fancomic which beared some striking similarities to our Undertale fanwork, “Оne More Chance”. At first I didn’t pay attention to it, but then several more people told me about this comic and some visual similarities and similarities in the dialogue in a particular scene it has (only with a different character). Now I'm not sure what to do. Is it just my imagination or is it really plagiarism? Should I PM the Author?.. I'm not sure. But for some reason I am very sad about it. Just in case, I decided to let you know about this. If this author really is plagiarizing, there may be other works that they has copied. ---

The idea for the plot is very old, it’s from 2015. But I have to say that when we started working on the script for the comic, it went through massive changes. Although the basic idea remained the same, the script itself came out much more mature than it was before. Many jokes had to be removed, some characters too. This story turned out to be more concentrated on two characters and their relationship, than on action and humor as it planned before. In truth, we are very satisfied with the result. So here we are. LoL comic as our tribute to this franchise. I don’t know how to finish this text… have a pleasant reading?

P.S. It’s sad that this project was announced a long time ago, but we started to post something only now. It’s because we have great problems in real life and as if that wasn’t enough, the quarantine fell upon us all… haha. But anyway we made it through! Actually, because of this all, we still cannot enter the normal pace of work, so there could be problems with page updates. In any case, we are not going to fall silent again for a long time, and if something unforeseen happens, we will write news about it.

Umm… Ummm… Hello. Dea’s here. I'm sorry I couldn't write a post here before. I will describe the whole situation. I apologize for mistakes in the text, I still speak English not as good as I would like. A lot of bad things have happened to us lately. First we received several anonymous threatening letters. Well, you know ... like "if you refuse to believe that Chara is a good person and don’t delete your comic, we will hack your accounts, we don't need people like you in this fandom etc. Blah blah blah." It was disgusting, but we tried to ignore it. Second, I had a loss in my family, after which I couldn’t recover for a very long time. Thirdly, Hibi had a very hard time at work. She often returned home very late and was not able to do creative work. Sometimes she had to go to work on weekends. And it continues to this day. And finally, in beginning of November 2018, I had technical problems with the tablet, I had to pass it to the service center, and only two days ago they said that it was a manufacturing defect and replaced it. During this time, the desire to work on the UT Comic disappeared completely. The sad thing here is that we have ALL storyboards and dialogues, we just need to sketch half of them and translate it into English. I still hope that one day we will have enough strength to complete the storyboard of the second comic, but unfortunately I can’t promise anything. The good news is that during the Christmas holidays we had a brainstorm and we had two new ideas. They will not be associated with UT, but these are still fan works, one of which is manga for one very popular franchise that includes games, anime, manga and more. And the second ... well, there is still a lot of time to implement it, so we'll talk about this much later. We will start a new blog, and when we do this, I will definitely leave a link in this blog. I hope someone will be interested in this. That's all I wanted to write. I hope that we will not disappear for such a long time again. And sorry for that. We love you all~

We don't plan to delete the comic.

I'm guessing Frisk lives with Toriel,Asgore,and Asriel?

At first, we wanted to develop Frisk’s older sister, but then we give up the idea because… well… maybe it’s not noticeable, but OMC already contains nearly 300 pages. Therefore, in order to shorten the narrative, we had to remove some ideas.

So you can think that Frisk has returned to his sister behind the scene. Or stayed with Dreemurr family. :)

Hello everyone!

That's the end of this long journey which lasted two years! There were enjoyable and not enjoyable moments.The latter, unfortunately, prevailed over the first, but let's not focus on bad things. Yes, "OMC" from today is a closed project, thanks to all who supported us all this time with their kind comments. Guys, you are the best! Sometimes, just because of the kind comments, we were able to find strength to continue this work. However, those who followed the news in our blogs could notice that we hinted at a sequel to the story.

This is true, initially we planned two comics that would lead to a more complete story. But two years is a long enough period of time for inspiration to fade away. We want to move further in other direction. But! But since the second comic was completely scripted two years ago, we will bring these storyboards on Tumblr. Our creative group is going to move to another fandom. Which one is still a secret. But if it’s interesting to someone - in OMC we left a few hints of our future project. Thank you for your attention and follow the news in our blogs!
