Day 2: Butterfly/Animals (worms)

Lusopp Week 2026

"Look Usopp! It's like you", declared Luffy.

Usopp turned his head and saw a little yellowish worm in the palm of his captain.

He was fascinated by this rare type that he became aware of the statement seconds later. Like me? He still has a long way to totally understand Luffy's thought process, but maybe he gets what Luffy is trying to communicate right now.

"Ohhh, it's because I, like this worm, would turn into a stronger and cuter butterfly?" he brought both of his hands to his face to exaggerate his thanks for the compliment.

"Huh?" Luffy tilted his head. "Usopp is cute like this worm. This one is already perfect as it is" he extended his hand to pass it on to now a real flustered Usopp. "Even if it changes, it's still him".

Although a little perplexed Usopp received the little fella in his left hand and then look at Luffy who was beaming while also looking at him. Usopp had to fight to laugh (nervously) for the sake of not startled the special worm.

"Y-you are really something else" the sniper smirked though, taking the other's hand so they could search for a safe place to observe their new friend.

In the end it was obvious. Luffy would love every version of him.

Day 1: Enchanted/Elf (both)

Lusopp Week 2026

Adventurous Elf and Forest Elf

"Luf, are you still mad with the forest?"

"Noooo?" obviously pouting

Usopp laughs and Luffy heart makes a flip

"Don't be too angry with her, she was probably teasing".

"It's the 5th time", he crossed his arms and legs.

"Maybe she's noticed a hidden intention on your visit?"

After hearing the question Luffy's mouth starts doing this funny thing when it curves as he tries to lie once again, bringing his hand and agitating it from side to side to dismiss the implication.

Usopp lifts his eyebrow and takes a step closer

"Well...? What is it? She always protects the creatures from someone taking them out". Usopp side-eyed, "are you here to take me away?", he giggles.

"Yes" the answer came out automatically.

Usopp eyes widened for a moment before covering his face, hiding his notorious blush. "Y-you can't say it like that"

"Come with me Usopp!" Luffy took both of the other's hands to reveal his shyness. "Let's explore the world!" his grin being so contagious.

"And join the others?" Usopp voice was like a whispering right now. "I don't know Luf, I have never left..."

"That's exactly why you should come with us" their hands were still touching.

Usopp took some courage and hold them firmer, watching Luffy reaction as surprised by the movement and earning a big smile.

"I haven't received training even after all those years" a tinged of sadness creaking through the words.

"I'll protect you!" the adventurous elf declared.

"Haha, you make anything sound possible" Usopp replied.

He was thinking for a moment and just wanted to be sure when he felt a kiss on his right cheek.

"Luf!!! This is not the proper protocol" Usopp reacted pushing him slightly, even when he has been trying to do the same since the third visit.

"Shishishi, I thought we claimed each other since the beginning" Luffy closing their space only to received a splash of water directly to his face.

"D-don't say it like that!" Usopp blurted out. "Y-You make it sound like we did something" he sighed noticing how the sun was already setting. The cliff was a beautiful spot to wait for the moonlight panorama.

Luffy head tilted to rest on the forest elf's shoulder while they start waiting for the spectacle, although Luffy was so impatient as always. "So... it's that a yes?"

Usopp turned his head but his smirk was expanding with every second.

"If you're able to find this path next time I'll have my bags ready"

"PROMISE!!?" the excited tone making Usopp shushed him and getting near to his ear for the predictable word that the other was finally hearing (since their first meeting)

"Promise".
