he loves his friends so damn much, he wants them to live, he can’t stand to see them trying to sacrifice their lives. zoro, brook, and sanji are all saying “go ahead i’ll sacrifice myself to help you escape” and usopp is like “no way in hell am i going to let you do that. we escape together.”

he’s so desperate to help his crewmates. he’s picking them up, he’s dragging them along, he’s literally clawing at sanji’s back trying to get him to come with him. he’s so tactile with his crewmates here, clinging to them because he wants them to stay with him, to run with him and preserve their lives.

it’s one thing to sacrifice your life for someone. it’s another thing to beg your friends to see the value of self-preservation, to try over and over and over to save them, as said friends are busy trying to sacrifice themselves for you. usopp really gets the worst front-row seat of all time here.

Their first time together takes a while to happen each of them want it but have their own insecurities about taking the next step

Usopp feels safe knowing these two monsters will take care of him

Zoro is able to relax and be vulnerable and emotional. Learning things about himself he never thought about before. Lets them be gentle with him learns what it’s like to be treated softly

Sanji is able to fully express his love without being rejected

I think Sanji would have the most knowledge/experience from books magazines ect if not personally

They each have a praise kink

Usopp can’t be in the same room alone with both of them for to long they can’t keep their hands off him

Based on that fic idea I had *look at notes* a year ago??? (H-how!? I thought it was only a few months ago *clears throat) anyway...

I decided to make something with a song I love and linking everything on my head. Maybe this will inspire someone more (or even myself idk, I would love to do 30 short chapters like that comment said but I have to be realistic), at least now I know that this would happen post timeskip. In early Wano. I think it's the perfect set up because of the group temporary separation. Zoro's group find a small island on the way and somehow Usopp gets trapped with a spirit (like the japanese culture from where Wano is also based on) and he has to make the decision on who is the one getting forgotten as a sacrifice for the others to continue the journey, and the spirit even mentions Luffy, even if he's not there the connection allows them to take the memories of him from everyone. For Usopp, someone who will crawl and run to stay alive so he can achieve his dream, knows a world without remembering Luffy is not worth living for (deja vu from a certain arc 👀) so he makes the deal and just like that everyone is able to continue. It's like he was never there, right?

Now Luffy is having these dreams where a familiar figure is trying to reach him but everytime he wakes up he will forget everything again and again. Each day slowly drains the energy from that person to fight, what was their name again? Also there are pieces that no one on the ship use so how? A room from a factory, an empty space. Luffy feels like something is missing. Like he lost someone special. They all are but this person is just different for him (he hasn't have time to realized it yet and now it gets stronger than ever)

He won't stop until he figures things out. Once he has something in mind, there's no impossible for him.
