Discarded Habit
"I can't believe you actually convinced me to step into a place like this," I admitted, shaking my head. My friend Henry had finally talked me into going to the gym with him.
"I’m really glad you’re joining me, Jacob. It's an investment in your future," he said, giving me a playful slap on my butt.
"I just hope you won’t be disappointed in me. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to keep up with you," I replied, flashing a shy smile.
"Don’t worry," Henry reassured me. "Our coach for the first session should be perfect. I’ve heard he always makes sure everyone feels comfortable and stays motivated. Remember, Isabell recommended this place, and you know her. That's why I booked the same coach as she did."
As we arrived at the gym way earlier than needed, I took in the atmosphere of the place. I had expected something more polished, considering Isabell's recommendation. But this place didn’t quite match that image. We were greeted by a young woman at the front desk. When Henry mentioned our session with Fabien, she surprised us by saying that he wouldn’t be available.
"I’m really sorry," she said, "We tried to reach you over the past few days, but didn’t get a response. However, we can offer you a session with Damien instead. Is that okay?"
What a start. I rolled my eyes, scanning the gym again, still trying to figure out what Isabell saw in it. It seemed more like a gym for fitness dudes than the luxury wellness retreat I had imagined. This Fabien guy must have been a lot more likable than just in terms of coaching skills.
I glanced at Henry, and he immediately noticed my frustration combined with my high expectations for the place.
"Yeah, damn, you really tried to call me," Henry muttered. "Well, we’re here now, so I guess we should give it a shot."
"That's great to hear!" she replied cheerfully. "Once again, we’re really sorry Fabien isn’t available. I see you’re a few minutes early, but that’s no problem. It’s getting late, and there are only a few people left. Feel free to head to the locker rooms over there, and if you like, you can check out or even try some of our machines if you’re comfortable with them. Damien will be with you for your session in about 30 minutes. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me or any of our staff. Enjoy your time, guys."
With that, she waved us off. We followed her directions, changed into our sports gear, and entered the expansive gym hall. At this hour, there were only a few guys left, so we had plenty of space to ourselves.
We checked out some of the machines, and when I walked into the free weights area, my eyes immediately locked onto two hunks in front of the mirrors, posing and checking themselves out.
"If I were a straight 'Chad,' I guess this would be my place to go," I muttered under my breath.
"Don't be so toxic, Jacob," Henry replied, giving me a disapproving look. "There's no point in making sweeping generalizations. You always complain about people judging you, so be better than that and give it a try."
"Okay, but that's exactly why I avoid places like this," I said. "I can't stand guys who are so full of themselves."
The guys in front of us burst into laughter, and I caught a scornful glance from the guy with the brown hair, which quickly shifted back to his reflection. It immediately took me back to my high school and college days when the jocks used to mock me for my body type.
"Look, Jacob, maybe our coach will show you how to properly do some deadlifts," Henry joked.
"Yeah, sure," I replied, feeling skeptical.
Henry then approached me from behind and gave me a hug. "Thanks again for coming with me," he said, his voice warm.
Although I appreciated Henry’s closeness, it wasn’t enough to change my mindset. Uncomfortable with him making our relationship so obvious in front of everyone, I glanced around and met the disapproving gaze of the blond guy, just a few feet away.
I couldn’t help but stare at the striking figure of the blond guy, despite sensing his clear dislike for us. His attention shifted back to his weights, and he resumed his workout.
"Hey, Jacob, follow me, check this out. This is the exercise I love most," Henry called from a distance.
Ignoring my doubts, I focused solely on Henry. He even managed to pique my interest in finally starting our session, though we were still waiting for Damien.
More than 30 minutes passed, and the gym was nearly empty. Another ten minutes went by before Henry was about to ask the woman at the entrance when Damien would arrive. But just as he was about to go, the blond guy approached us. I was surprised; I had thought he’d already left. Curiosity stirred in me—what did he want?
"Eve told me you booked a two-hour intro session with Fabien. Well, I’m substituting for him today. I’m Damien," he said flatly, his tone lacking enthusiasm.
"Alright, this is Jacob and I am Henry." Henry flashed a grin
"Cool. Let's get started."
Destiny must be playing a cruel joke on me—this guy was Damien? A wave of frustration washed over me. I looked at Henry with a questioning gaze, hoping this was all some kind of prank, but Henry just shrugged his shoulders and followed Damien without a word.
"Okay, guys. Best way to start is with a warm-up. I suggest 20 minutes of cardio on the treadmill," Damien said flatly.
"That's quite long..." Henry wondered.
Damien set up each treadmill, and we began to run. After a few minutes of watching us, probably to make sure we weren’t making any mistakes, Damien walked off and resumed his own workout.
"Is he for real?" I asked, out of breath and in disbelief.
"Wow, he couldn’t care less," Henry replied, his baffled expression confirming my impression of Damien.
"Well, let’s just keep going and see what he does next," Henry suggested, trying to calm me down.
"Wow," I muttered again, still processing the situation.
--
After finishing the full 20 minutes on the treadmill, Damien made no effort to rejoin us.
"I can't believe I spent all the money so this selfish guy could laze around and ignore us," Henry complained, frustrated. Henry's reaction calmed me somewhat, but I was still worried. I knew that Henry's promise to make a motivational impact had now completely turned around.
Henry stormed off to Damien, clearly declaring his expectations. Seemingly annoyed, Damien stopped working out.
"No need to make such a fuss, boy," Damien replied disrespectfully, clearly holding back a smug grin.
"Just be the coach I paid you for," Henry retorted, obviously ignoring Damien's impudence.
Damien returned, visibly unmotivated, and indifferently showed us the exercises that would be useful on the bench press. He seemed bored, briefly explaining what to focus on and how we could check each other's form for mistakes. He assessed our first attempts, with Henry requiring less assistance since he was already a bit more practiced.
"Looks like you're doing well. Now, do three sets of twelve repetitions for each exercise, resting for two minutes between sets." Again, Damien seemed ready to continue his own training, but this time Henry addressed it more directly.
"Can you please keep an eye on us? The goal is to perform the exercises correctly." Henry was clearly irritated with Damien. The whole atmosphere felt tense. But for Henry's sake, I held back any comments and tried to make the best of the situation.
We did our best to correctly perform the exercises shown to us, getting really into it. Supporting each other, and Henry’s bit of knowledge, made it enjoyable despite the circumstances. But as soon as Henry glanced over to see what Damien was doing, the mood shifted instantly.
Damien had turned away from us, taking selfies while flexing his shoulders and biceps. If it weren't for his rotten character, I could imagine falling for him—he literally had the body of a Greek statue.
"For God's sake, Damien! You don’t need to chat with us or fake interest, but at least do your job—make sure we’re practicing correctly. I paid more than 150 dollars for this."
Damien barely paid attention to Henry as he snapped a few more selfies. Once finished, he turned to Henry, provocatively asking what our problem was.
"Listen, dude. I’m getting paid to show you some exercises and introduce you to the machines—not less, not more. You're right, I have no interest in being friends. But if I see you’re doing the exercises correctly, I won’t keep staring at you while doing nothing. I know how to spend my time efficiently." Damien started walking away, with Henry following him, arguing. They moved out of my range, and I just stayed backed baffled at the bench press. I could see Henry getting angrier, while Damien’s expression remained unchanged.
They keept arguing when suddenly Damien left the gym, and Henry returned, looking furious and frustrated.
"Oh, I tell you, this was such..." Henry stopped mid-sentence, clearly thinking about something. He pulled out his phone and read a message.
"Damn it... Oh God, Jacob."
"What happened, Henry?"
"Isabell broke up with Kevin. She’s asking if I can stop by and talk to her."
"That's..."
"I’m so sorry, Jacob. Everything was supposed to motivate you, and we were supposed to have fun."
"I don’t blame you at all, Henry."
"Can you forgive me if I leave now? You know Isabell... I really have to support her."
"Uh, well, what am I supposed to do here? Damien clearly isn’t interested in coaching one of us properly."
"Yeah, I’ll talk to 'Eve' at the entrance. Maybe someone else can continue our—well, your—session."
"Why can’t I just leave too?"
"I paid way too much money for this, Jacob. Please stay. Maybe your experience here will turn around."
"Well, I could try at least." Though I was extremely annoyed with the place, I could feel Henry’s stress. I didn’t want to make things harder for him than they already were, so I agreed to stay.
He hugged me tightly and stormed off.
--
I waited impatiently to see if another coach would join me. The gym was nearly empty, with only three guys left, doing their own thing. To pass the time, I decided to bench press on my own. It was tough, but I saw it as a challenge.
"You definitely shouldn’t do that alone." A pair of hands grabbed the bar and lifted it back into the rack.
I looked up in surprise and saw Damien again.
I was surprised that Damien was now willing to continue with me alone. Of course, I had hoped that someone nicer would step in, but at the same time, I couldn’t help but feel impressed as I saw Damien's muscles up close.
"Stop staring, you..." His words made me feel caught off guard and shocked, as I thought he was about to insult me. But he didn’t. I wasn't interested in continuing this charade any more than he was, but I did what Henry had asked me to do.
Aside from enjoying Damien’s muscle display, the rest of the session went much like before. He showed me the exercises, and shortly after, I was left alone again. After the second exercise, with only half an hour left, I gathered my courage and decided to confront Damien one last time about his behavior.
He was now bench pressing, his arm muscles nearly bursting from the strain. Immediatly after finishing his set he snapped another selfie, flexing and posing as hell. I had my troubles to hid my boner when I approached him.
"Hey Damien, I have to say, I was really hoping for a better and more motivating coaching. If not from you, then from someone else..." Suddenly, he couldn't help but grin smugly.
"Now you're complaining like your little friend did?"
"Well, that should tell you something about how you treat your customers."
"Keep it to yourself, please. I already explained it to your friend: I'll do the minimum you're paying for."
"Wow, at least you're being honest, but you're still doing a terrible job."
"Your kind just loves the drama, don't you?"
"Excuse me?! Your kind? Are you serious?"
"Straight serious!" Damien pronounced the word 'straight' with a touch of pride.
"Okay, I've had enough of this nonsense." I saw the arrogant smile on Damien's face, probably amused by my reaction.
I packed up my things and headed straight to Eve at the front desk to file a complaint.
"Hello, how can I help you? You don't look very happy."
"Well observed, darling. I'd like to file a complaint, and is there any way I can speak to your manager?"
"I'm really sorry to hear that. Could you at least tell me what caused your dissatisfaction?"
"This place is just..." My voice rose in anger as a tall figure appeared behind me. I turned around and saw Damien.
"Is there a problem, Eve?"
Damien asked with a false smile and fake friendliness. He tensed his entire torso to look as threatening as possible. Admittedly, he looked like a sex symbol, but his homophobic manner and arrogance disgusted me.
"Well, obviously he wanted to complain to you about something..." Eve explained. I couldn't believe it. Damien ran this place? Damien couldn't hold back his stupid grin in response.
"I've got everything under control, Eve. I think there's been a major misunderstanding." "Eve, pack your things. Most of the members have already left. I'll close everything up. Have a nice evening." Eve seemed unsettled but did as she was told, leaving us behind as she walked out of the place. When she was out of sight, Damien grabbed me by my neck and pushed me against the reception desk.
"Listen you little prick. I tolareted you and your gay friend long enough at my gym. I really did my best, but you people always proof me right."
Too shocked to speak or even defend myself, he dragged me to the locker rooms.
I felt completely set back to my school days when I was bullied by the jocks. His violent insolence, combined with my fear, left me petrified. I didn’t want to provoke him further, so I endured everything quietly.
He more or less shoved me into a corner and took off his black too.
"Did you seriously think I hadn’t noticed your gawking looks? Do you know how disgusted I am when guys like you come to my gym just to jerk off?"
He suddenly tensed his entire upper body again, including his arms. If I hadn't been so afraid of his next move, I could have cum immediately.
Damien moved intimidatingly towards me and leaned over me.
"I bet that's what you were lusting after when you first saw me, right?" He pulled me by my hair and pressed my face against his cock. Perplexed by this new assault, I finally tried to fight back. But he easily held me in place. With my face pressed firmly against his member and struggling to breathe, I felt him bend down to whisper in my ear.
"You're definitely into that, aren't you? Look at you. You'd probably give me a blowjob of your own free will." Damien laughed with incomparable determination.
"I would have kicked you and your guy out a long time ago if your faggot of a boyfriend hadn't jumped into me first." With this, he yanked my head back and looked at me mockingly, barely holding back his laughter. Once I caught my breath, I paused for a moment to process what I had just heard.
"Oh Henry, fuck you!"
"Gotcha," he said, finally unable to hold back his laughter.
Feeling somewhat relieved that it was Henry, not Damien, who had put me through the wringer, I stood up and locked eyes with Damien.
"You’ve gone a bit overboard this time, don’t you think? I am bound to bruise."
"But you have to admit, my performance was pretty convincing," he replied, flashing me a cocky grin. I recognized it from Henry, but with Damien's face, it was definitely more sexy.
"I’d say Damien would have done a lot worse to you than I did if he’d had the chance. But you’re lucky I’m the one driving this Alpha now. Who would have thought he owned this gym?" he said proudly, starting to flex. "But it all fits, right?"
"I thought you were done possessing people."
"Well, I’ve kept it to a minimum, you're right. But when Damien revealed to me what an homophobic piece of shit he is, I thought it would be a good opportunity to turn this disastrous coaching session into something more fun."
"Well, for sure you did. He's a handsome fucker. You picked the right one, I'd say." I lusted for Damiens body while I watched him flexing.
"Hold your load, sucker." He commanded scornful in a determined voice merely intending the opposite. Henry knew exactly what my weaknesses were. He skillfully used Damien’s voice, channeling his self-absorption that he'd previously displayed in the gym.
"I’m really curious what Damien would do if he came face to face with you lusting over him."
"Wow, hold on" I laughed insecurely.
With a seductive depth in his voice, he leaned in close to my ear and began to whisper:
"Time to shower, what do you think? I could also force you to lick my sweaty armpits clean." he grinned.
"I could give you a blowjob too." I suggested excitedly.
"Only if you call me Damien from now on and show some respect," he mimicked a cocky expression I remembered from the real Damien. He flexed one last time, showcasing an impressive display of his back muscles.
We went into the showers and we fucked each other recklessly while Henry made sure to play the role of the homophobic Damien flawlessly.
After we were done Henry jumped out of Damien leaving him back under the running shower.
"Too bad, he is such an asshole." Henry gave me smile and we left the place behind us.
"You were right, Henry. You successfully changed the whole thing to the better. However, I am now more interested in what Isabell is doing in such a place with the mysterious Fabien." I laughed.
--
The next morning, I woke up alone in our bed. Henry must have already left. I went through my morning routine and prepared for work. When I arrived at the office, I received a message with pictures from an unknown number.
"Hey, gay one. I expect you on time this evening so that we can continue our session. I advise you to show up and don't bring your faggot friend with you. There will be only one cock tonight which you will take in your mouth. Understood? Sucker."
Fuck, Henry. That 'Chad' really did it to you.
