Jax isn’t bad trans rep (if they leaned into it a bit more it could honestly be one of the mildly decent things about this show). She’s just a shitty person. And right now, the trans community cannot afford that.
People keep chalking up the fact Jax is abusive to being transfem. Sure, being dysphoric and self conscious could cause a lot of stress to a person and make them act like an ass (like I did pre transition) but there is a big jump from ‘bit of a douche’ to genuinely abusive. And Goose pretends like they’re the same thing. The whole community pretends like they’re the same thing. And Goose says it’s because of Jax being transfem and insecure, that’s what all the Jax defenders use in their fuck ass arguments. And now Jax hate is just being used as an excuse for people to be transphobic.

Literally one of the only good things to come from this show
Y’know, at the beginning of TADC, I really thought Gangle would be more of a focus (and by that, I just mean equal to the others). Especially in the Spudsy’s episode. To me, I see Gangle as someone with a personality or mood disorder, made very clear by her masks displaying very polar opposite and different emotions. There is no in between. Just one of the other. And when she acquires her manic mask she admits she is having a manic episode. It couldn’t more obviously be a metaphor for a personality or mood disorder!
But instead of ANY elaboration on any of that she continues to get bullied because the focus needs to revolve around Jax
I feel so bad for Gangle. She is bullied, abused physically, emotionally, and even sexually blackmailed all by Jax. Not only that, Gooseworks themself seems to hate her, given Gangle is constantly being neglected and forgotten about (and the fact that Jax is Goose’s self insert says enough). Her entire existence was created just to be hated. She exists purely so Jax has someone to bully, it’s so terrible. Can we just start adopting Gangle into other fanbases because she needs to be rescued.
