and like listen at a certain point i think you might just have terrible priorities. its like that thing with the rabies vaccine, how it doesn't have any warnings against taking it with allergies or while pregnant or whatever, because untreated rabies has a 100% fatality rate so the chance of complications doesn't matter. someone MIGHT give you money with strings attached, but its almost certainly still better than starving to death or dying of treatable disease.

and if you think accepting charity is shameful, then idk what to tell you. being poor isn't a personal flaw. honestly having serious generational wealth is kinda shameful giving away your money when people need it is making the world a fairer place.

Hatsune Miku is a 'virtual idol' meaning to some, she is a simulacrum of the 'real thing' aka a human vocalist. She 'isn't a real girl' in other words. That pretty closely mirrors the way transmisogynists deny trans women's existence as women. When She first debuted, many people decried Her and vocaloid as "taking the soul out of music" or "taking attention away from 'real' human singers" which is obviously nonsense!

What's more, is that many closeted, repressed trans women find themselves drawn to Miku and vocaloid generally. Don't like your voice? Here's a virtual singer that can sing for you! Infact you can fully adopt Her likeness in all aspects of your online presence! Deco27 has made a whole career out of living vicariously through Miku!

And finally, while this may be a slightly weaker argument, I find that Miku's prevalence in internet culture (and Her impact generally) to be similar to the impact trans women have on the zeitgeist, while still being disregarded and written off as "weird weeb pedo shit" by large swathes of people, especially reactionaries and others who view all anime women with a distinctly transmisogynist lens.
