These are just bad. Badly written and god I hate Jace and Clary. I know these are teen books and I'm not faulting anyone for liking them but jesus I don't like the way these are written.

And yeah, how easily is Jace convinced to follow his "dad". No worries that he is trying to commit multiple genocides.

I'm committed to follow through tho just to see the Malec origin.

Gender essentialism is still cringe if it is directed against cis people btw. Ive basically had someone say to me that cis people are biologically incapable of understanding less normalized gender identities because "their brains work differently". If anyone has this opinion please come forward now so i can block you thank you. The reason cis people dont understand gender in the same way trans people do is because trans people are naturally more exposed to the discussion about gender because we have to think about it a lot. Cis people, who have never doubted their identity, obviously dont think about it as much, if at all.

Cis people arent inherently more stupid than us, or less capable of talking about gender on a biological level. What would that even look like???

Listen this was the most heartbreaking and tender gesture I saw in a while. And I know for a lot of people a kiss is the ultimate proof for real love. Especially because it comes so short in queer representing media. But I’m honestly sick of this heteronormative storytelling that they need to shove their tongues in each other’s throats when they love each other. But I’m also very asexual and appreciate all those sensitive moments others like to overlook in their unresolved desires. I usually don’t speak out like that but I saw a lot going crazy about the kiss situation, and couldn’t keep my fingers still. BTW everyone who hates on me now gets blocked. I will not take any shit. Man, remember how right after S2 came out there was this huge debate in the Fandom where one half was like “OMG I can’t wait until GO3 comes out and Aziraphale tearfully apologizes to Crowley and begs him for forgiveness and honestly sincerely shows he realizes how wrong he was and how much he hurt Crowley!!” and then the other half was like “Hey, hold on! Aziraphale shouldn’t just be groveling to Crowley like that! It's not like he's perfect and right all the time! Aziraphale’s choices were misguided but understandable and the narrative should acknowledge that he had some good reasons to do what did and that he’s suffering too!”

And then GO3 actually came out and instead of getting either of these, we just got the Worst of Both Worlds. We got a narrative where Aziraphale gave Crowley nothing but the shittiest Nopologies ever and it doubles-down on the one point that Crowley, and the audience, was most upset about (Angel Crowley) and also one that treats Crowley like he is perfect and right all the time and absolutely refuses to engage with Az’s pain and continues to treat his viewpoint as nothing but overly naive foolishness!

this is so important to me cause at the end of the day, this book and the show are about their shared love of the world and of humanity, they did everything they could to save the world, up until the last second, bargaining with the literal god to not just let it all go and let empty space stay empty. it was always the two of them against everybody. when they realized they could make a better universe in place of the broken one, they made the choice to sacrifice themselves and their love and their ability to be together to create a world where people could live and be happy and love in their place...

they sacrificed their love for each other so that billions more could love each other billions of years in the future, without worrying about sudden apocalypses or second comings or end times. they chose to let life be real and i think that that is a beautiful thing for them to do

and did you see how they smiled to each other? they got a happy ending.
