The familiar tingle of passing through a ward tells him that he must be getting close. He picks up his pace a bit, nerves and anticipation thrumming through his veins. The wards have no doubt alerted Wei Wuxian that someone is approaching, but he won’t know who, or why. Lan Wangji had considered sending a letter first, but he’d been too impatient to get here himself, so he’d decided to forgo that formality.
