Also people who compare him to Maxwell are fucking insane. Wagstaff did not get tortured and trapped for years, pushing him to do the things he did after he was in debt and had to run away from people trying to kill him and a shadow entity trying to Possess him and Take Over His Life And Bodyy. He's a rich successful inventor who let a guy die for a projector. Yes he could've saved him. Why else would Klei have included him in the short?? Ohhhh Klei's playing 4d chess right now by making an animation all about Wagstaff that's secretly only supposed you Trick you into not liking him.

"He couldn't have actually saved that guy." OKAY THEN, STORYTELLING WISE, WHY INCLUDE HIM?? That makes the entire short meaningless. How cheap do you think fully animating shorts like that is? Do you really think they're investing that much into a big trick you're supposed to not actually take at face value??
