i love the strange reality of being a human person with a human brain. one time someone said something to me in a foreign language (japanese, which i do not speak) and i automatically responded in a different foreign language (spanish, which i do not speak well) and then we both said "what?" in english, an experience made more surreal by the fact that everyone around us was speaking loudly in canadian french (as this occurred in Quebec)

My love for Mcdonalds probably stems from childhood nostalgia where everytime we'd visit the big city for our summer vacations (I'm talking early 2000s), my mamy (mom's brother) would take us kids out for a good old happy meal, even if it was late in the night. (Mamu was a doctor and he'd always come late to visit)

"Mein bara hun ya apki mama?" (Am I elder or is your mom?) is what he'd say everytime I"d say 'mama se ijazat leni hai.' (Need to take permission from mom)

The last time he took me to Mcdonalds was just a few years ago. He got me a Mcflurry and a HUUGEEE box of cupcakes saying 'ab ye tumnay puray khanay hain." (Now you're going to finish it all).

He's gone now.. but a part of me will always assosciate that large yellow 'M' with him.
