Enjoy the comforting tastes of slow-cooked roast beef smothered in creamy mushroom gravy. This is a traditional Southern dish that's great for dinners with family or friends.
Ingredients: 3 lbs chuck roast. 1 tsp salt. 1 tsp black pepper. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp onion powder. 1 onion, sliced. 1 cup beef broth. 1 cup sliced mushrooms. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 2 tbsp cornstarch. 2 tbsp water.
Instructions: Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the chuck roast to make it taste better. In the slow cooker's bottom, put the sliced onions. On top of the onions, put the chuck roast that has been seasoned. Cover the roast with beef broth. On low heat, cover and cook for 8 hours, or until the meat is soft. Saut the sliced mushrooms in a saucepan until they are soft. Put the cooked mushrooms in the slow cooker. Add water and cornstarch to a small bowl. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Mix the heavy cream and cornstarch together and add them to the slow cooker. Put the lid on top and cook on high for another 30 minutes, or until the gravy gets thicker. Put mushroom gravy on top of the roast to serve. Have fun!
