I desire to get married someday. I desire to have a family of my own. But I have to continually remind myself that although it’s good to desire these things, I must always desire God more. I must always desire Jesus before and above all things. I cannot lose focus of Him in the process. There is more to this life than being married and having kids—and it is knowing Christ personally. Even if I get married someday and have kids, even then I must still desire God more. He is the foundation of everything—the beginning and the end.

Your will be done, Lord. In my heart and in my life, Your will alone be done. Whatever that means, whatever that looks like, I will follow You in faith, for You alone are worthy and You alone hold the key to my heart and my life.
