This post serves as a masterpost and guide to the Underground.

Undertale: The (Unofficial) Graphic Novel, or UT:TUGN, is a comic series meant to cover Undertale and its story with as much faith as possible. At the moment, I am a one-person team only focused on getting to the Ruins, but if motivation allows I may see it out to the end! Please note that I did not get permission from Toby Fox or Temmie Chang for this project, and if asked to I will cancel it or take it down.

Posts will go up every Tuesday at 10 AM EST.

Asks and requests are also open for both the characters and myself and will all be non-canon unless I decide otherwise, so feel free to ask whatever you want!

'Twas nothing but a fool's errand.

Had a bit of fun with the lighting and effects on this one as well! I tried to use Flowey's thorn vines as a panel edge, but I'm not sure how well that turned out.

You're more of a threat to yourself than anything else down here!

This page is a bit lower-effort than the others, especially since I wasn't sure what to do with the blocking, but I wanted to get this week's page out on time. There'll be little deviations like this one here and there as we work our way through the Ruins!

Silly kid, you speak of fiction!

A twist of fate and of the knife. Oh well, looks like that flower wasn't so friendly.

For this page I did a bit of experimentation with effects! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, though it's definitely limiting to use only grayscale and red. Oh yeah, did I mention that blood is colored here?

As a child, I heard such wonderful stories of Lamps, and the Oracle, and Holy the Sea…

Oh friendly flower of the Underground, give us your wisdoms

See, it's not all black and white. This part was a bit hard to figure out the blocking for, especially since this introduces the battle palette and I hadn't had it figured out previously beyond the last page. Things may be tweaked about the way the encounters are styled, but this is the general feel we'll be sticking with!

Why do you deny my love?

Kids are gonna be kids, and this is no exception. Magical talking flower? Must investigate!! I sure hope that lively curiosity sticks around; they ought to know what they’re dealing with.

This is the first animated-ish thing I’ve done for a comic! I may do more of these in the future, though they’ll definitely be rare. This one was a bit of a hassle for multiple reasons :,)

Oh, what a cute little flower!

I love flowers! This one looks incredibly friendly. And it has a face, but we can all gloss over that, right?

Turns out I recovered faster than I thought I would and whipped this up as soon as I could! I'm excited to be back on my feet.

At least they weren't bricks. Probably my favorite page out of these! Our main character finds themself in a hole under the mountain... um, is that a gate?

This marks the current point in the series! From here, this comic will update alongside Comicfury's version, which is every Tuesday around 10 AM provided I remember to do it in the morning. The exception to this is any asks I or the characters receive, which will be answered asap.
