Undertale Yellow Halloween Hack

Time really does fly by, doesn’t it?

2 years.

2 years ago, the first episode of UNDERTALE YELLOW: HALLOWEEN HACK, dubbed “Three Walk Their Fate” was released onto YouTube. Beginning the tall tale of Raine, Clover, and of course, Varik, falling into the Underground all with the shared goal of fleeing to the surface, this pilot episode would of course set the groundwork that would become the rest of the series going forward. After the three humans’ journey first debuted with them traversing the Ruins, later episodes would show them forging on through familiar areas in Undertale Yellow such as Snowdin and the Wild East, to even original areas such as the Sakura Village. And as we have stated in the past, our in production sixth episode of the series will show our protagonists embark on an abandoned warehouse— the Steamworks.

it’s honestly amazing to see how much UTYHH has grown throughout these past 2 years. The series began originally as a fun concept between two friends. Then it grew to a small groupchat of friends, then a small server, and well, now, it’s a whole dev team, full of many talented people, whether it be more voice actors, composers, artists, you name it. Hell, we can even actually go up to people saying Rob Paulsen as Carl Wheezer shouted us out, and it would be a true fact. Even if I did end up paying him, lol. I don’t think I ever would have expected UTYHH to reach the level it has now. Even for being a perhaps more niche UTY AU, it has been said to me from others in the fandom that this is at least one of the most respected ones, and it is a massive honor to have been given that compliment. Even for myself, I have grown to learn to be a project leader and a jack of all trades as a director, voice actor, prop maker, plush maker, screenwriter, artist, editor, and even sometimes a composer if the times really call for it. It’s a lot of work on me, but I do find that it is very much rewarding in the long run. I’m very happy to have gotten to grow alongside this project.

Episode 6 development has been very slow still—- life has been kicking all of us in the rear end once more. But the new characters who needed models are all completely made for Episode 6 now. But there is still sadly much more that must be done for preproduction to truly be called “done”. Please bear with us as we do our very best to continue making up for lost time.

However, as much as we have been busy, we still wanted to acknowledge the 2 year milestone this project has reached! We hope you guys enjoy this wonderfully crafted poster art by oRang3_bruh, who was so kind to help us out with the promo art and crunched this in time for this special occasion.

And that’s not all! We even have some more promo art done by perhaps one of our most active artists, @esther-gnarp ! Always lovely to see that.

I believe that’s basically it for this post. I still want to hope an October release for Episode 6 is possible, but I’m not so sure now that it is already early August. But we’ll see. Never say never, after all!

I want to personally thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for supporting UTYHH. I’ve gone over how much I have grown from this project already, but there is much more talent than what I put into the series, talent that belongs to other people who have helped make this series come to life. Please show the series some love and support all of the voice actors, artists, composers, and writers for all of the hard work they have done. It would mean a lot to me if you showed them a good amount of support beyond what they have done for UTYHH.

Thank you all, so, so much. Stay tuned for the next adventure! I wonder what will happen this time? How will Axis and Matcha be relevant to the story? Will Mysteryman get into some wacky hijinks in this episode? Will Clover say “I’m Clover, and I’m a Gunslinger!” Again for the 5 millionth time? Who knows.

Greetings everyone! Back again with more updates for Episode 6! So, what do we have here now?

For starters, it seems that Matcha from Undertale Halloween Hack will also be joining the main cast during their trek through the Steamworks… I wonder why his role in the episode will be? I will say it’s quite different than what he does in the base UTHH (as most of the UTHH characters have as UTYHH takes place in the Yellow world)

Besides the Matcha plush model being finished, we also have a delightfully crafted shitpost promo art by @esther-gnarp depicting Raine… Hiding from Axis in the… FNAF 1 office…

Besides that, the SCRIPT for Episode 6 is complete! And it uh… Well the page count is longer than Episode 5… Which I was hoping it wouldn’t be but… What can we really do there wasn’t really a way for us to cut any of the scenes… All of them are just too important in their own right… Well, hopefully the pacing benefits the episode going by quick again like Episode 5 did. Episode 6 is very important in their sense that it’s the prelude to when the story begins to take a MASSIVE nosedive into heavy lore for the last 2 episodes (Episode 7 and 8)

As always, we thank you all for staying tuned, Preproduction is now being worked on rapidly now that the screenplay is complete. Composers will be getting to work once we assign them which music tracks need to be covered and VAs will be recording lines fairly soon too now that over half of the characters in this episode have had their lines delegated to a separate google document for each actor to read. And of course I’ll be working on props and getting to filming!

Hey everyone! Daniel here. It’s that time of year again, folks! Sorry for the social media posts to be slow again. So what’s new with UTYHH?

Well, after the abysmally long wait of making Episode 5, the team and I have discussed that we definitely did *not* want Episode 6 to take as long in development. I can’t guarantee that this will actually happen though because Episode 6 is more than likely going to be…… A bigger episode than Episode 5, which is also insane because that was 2 and a half hours long……

Writing the script has been a process, and it’s still not done yet, but we *are* just about above the halfway point, I’d say. Writing this episode was a little difficult because now— things are taking a more serious turn in the story. As the poster here depicts, our heroes will be stepping foot into the Steamworks, and anyone familiar with Undertale Yellow is surely aware of what is to come in this area in terms of lore……… But that being said, we still have something very unique to bring to the table with this installment, and we cannot wait to share it with you!

I had wanted to get the screenplay for Episode 6 completed in May, but due to most of the team having to attend to finals and other pre-Summer break affairs , it’s been taking us a little bit longer…… But to hopefully speed things up, I’ve also started getting a slight head start on props, which I will have to make a decent amount of for this episode.

Now here’s a question thy I’m sure many are asking: When will Episode 6 release? Again, don’t count in my estimates, but I want to *try* aiming for at least a late August release. The absolute latest I’d want to go would probably be an October release, which, isn’t exactly ideal in my eyes, but……… It would be fitting for a UTYHH episode to release close to Halloween. But I do genuinely hope it can come out in the late Summer. Unfortunately Episode 5’s constant setbacks and drawn out development has made it harder to make up for our planned schedule for how the series would release. After this one, only two more of the main 8 episode lineup are to be made, and those episodes are most *definitely* going to be ambitious, as the final few episodes are crucial to the story’s narrative.

Well, what do you know? We finally have more Episode 5 news?!

Hello everyone! REALLY SORRY for again, the lack of updates regarding Episode 5. However…

I am proud to say that FILMING is finally done! It has been done for some time, and the team and I have been locking in extra hard to wrap up post production ever since.

Thus, we have decided… To come up with a release date for Episode 5. If all goes well… Key word all… We are thinking that this Sunday, April 19th will be the release date of the episode. This gives the team the time to fully wrap up the little remaining music tracks needed, as well as allowing us time to do a test screening and looking over some potential last minute errors/audio changes needed. After that, the episode should be good to be fully released!

Also— we have more promo art finally! Drawn by @esther-gnarp, here’s two small pics of Starlo and Ceroba as well as Varik and Starlo. More Episode 5 art is to come soon as well, although it’ll likely be released after the the episode’s debut, which does contradict the traditional buildup we’ve been doing for each episode (since we typically drop promo art before the full episode releases)
