No Guts, No Glory

Let me tell you what’s going to happen.

They were supposed to drive home, but after dinner, they just... need a break.

They had work to do this afternoon, furniture to assemble. But they can't even stand straight without buckling and clutching their swollen stomach.

They were supposed to join the party after dinner, but they can't get their pants done up, let alone ass out the door.

They meant to go for dinner, but they went so hard on the snacks that they are pretty sure they wouldn't be able to eat another bite ever again.

You're supposed to meet the bank, but the button of their good shirt snapped clean off, and they burp every time they take a step. And the way they sway when they stand is just...not presentable.

They make it to the movie, but as soon as the lights are out, they've snapped open their jeans and are nodding off in the dark. You can see the outline of their swollen gut and their hand slowly rubbing until they droop off.

It's that sheepish look. "I want to. I didn't mean to--it's just. It was so good. I had to finish it. I thought I could. I couldn't help myself. I mean--look at this. I can't go anywhere like this."
