Anyone who complains about the aro community having 'split off' from the ace community and sees it as dividing that it happened really don't care about non ace aros huh. I'm not fucking ace, why would I want to be considered part of the ace community when I'm alloaro? The aro community needs to exist separately from the ace one to include non-ace aros and just have aro treated as its own orientation instead of a flavor of ace and I will never want aromanticism to be seen as a subset of ace by default.
I don't want to be in an ace-focused, usually disallowing discussion of sex and sex negative, space ever(And unfortunately some aro in general servers end up being this.). And that's why I find non ace aro spaces important and good for me.
