Important information!!!

We’ve been notified by our Internet Provider that service will be done on the physical infrastructure that UM’s internet connection uses on two separate days:

 1.    Wed 8/1/18 12:00am (midnight) to 4:00am

 2.    Thursday 8/2/18 12:00am (midnight) to 4:00am

 They expect an outage of 3 hours during each window.

 This will affect ALL INTERNET access at UM and to all of UM’s customers. (ie. THERE WILL BE NO INTERNET ACCESS to/from UM).

 This includes

Monday, July 31st from 7:00 am to 8:00 am student and staff printing served by PaperCut will be offline while we upgrade the server. Please plan accordingly.

We are receiving "system health is degraded” warning notices on our employee email server (messaging.umt.edu). The logs indicated the OS does not have access to all installed memory modules. HP support is recommending that we first try to reseat the memory modules.

This will be done tonight at 5:00 pm and will affect all access to the Exchange server via desktop, app or web.  The expected downtime should not last more than 30 minutes.  All email will be queued during this time so no mail will be lost. Users may be required to re-authenticate when the server comes back up.   

We are currently experiencing issues with UMConnect logins.  We have opened a ticket with Microsoft to correct the problem and will post more information as soon as it is available.

The UM Solutions Center launched this month to provide an online hub for UM students, faculty and staff to access IT services, support, and self-help articles. We invite you to join us at an open house Friday, February 2 between 9-11 a.m. in UC 225 to visit with IT support staff and demo the Solutions Center. We will be serving coffee, tea and bagels. There's no set program, so stop by any time.
