Because I watched Descendants 2 and kinda loved it. I already liked the first one but not that I cared about it, that was until I watched this one while catching Gravity Falls on Disney Channel and lemme say:

Fucking good work Disney, you made a decent good tv movie that actually improves from the first one, ads to the characters, world building and sends a pretty important message that really echoes with today’s society…

And correct me if I’m wrong on this.

When Harry and Gil first saw Uma after she got out of the ocean and on the bridge Harry says with a smile “Welcome back!” But Gil, slowly walks over to them and says “Uma you swam off and forgot all about us...” and that just breaks my heart. We obviously see that Harry didn’t doubt Uma whatsoever ever, but Gil did. He doesn’t know that (in the books) she was trying every last possibility she could think of to get herself back on the Isle. Back to that prison with no way of escaping again, just so she could be with her crew. It seems like Gil makes that comment and then it’s never addressed again. Gil is our sunshine boy and it hurts to hear what he said cause you could hear the sadness in his voice thinking that his captain had abandoned him.
