Death changes people.

Threads of fate weave and intertwine over multitudes.  When a central point is severed, the threads can hang lifelessly, without direction.

Something is taken from the world that can never be replaced.  

Whether or not the loss is tangible, or physical, or even describable with any tongue…

It’s no less real, and no less life-changing.

Death is an end, but not The end.

In many ways, it’s a beginning.  When threads loosen around a central point, new bonds are made.

Old threads can cross paths once more.  What was once torn asunder by despair…

The trial to find the murderer of Midori Aoyami came to a turbulent close, as Sen was found guilty of the crime.  After brutally executing the culprit, Travis gave the remaining students no time to collect themselves, and sent them on their way.

In the day that followed the hellish trial, Travis unveiled a new floor to the mall, and the whereabouts of the SHSL Samurai, who is alive and… well, alive.  Recovering in the infirmary.

Tension still high from the trial, the remaining students still have more than five months to endure, at the mercy of their whimsical captor.

If he had a chair, this is where Nisemono would spin around apathetically. Instead, he just sips his coffee and ignores Hiroyuki. Yes, this was basically a game, but funnily enough, he was defaulting because he wasn’t participating.

“The event happened at 4:45 PM. Hiro-shi came back to our room at 4:20 PM. I do have an alibi. Try again.”

He was being suspected, because of course he was. They flip flop between thinking of him as some sort of weak, pathetic, pitiable loser, and someone who has the physical capacity to, apparently, drag a body all the way across a mall.  He isn’t participating in this. What, is he supposed to be scared now that they’re suspecting him? Why?

Hiro stands up for him, because of course he does. Hiro won’t ignore him already and focus on standing up for himself, and it’s bothering him. Be self indulgent already.

Midori Aoyama, the SHSL Elephant Trainer, was murdered in cold blood.

Hana Sakurasouuno, the SHSL Samurai, then fell victim to the killing game, while defending another student from Travis.

14 ultimate students, one culprit.

Shinobu hadn’t said much since coming to the cafeteria. In fact she hadn’t even reacted much to what Travis had said. All except for paling on her face and a chill in her spine. Why else would she be here? All she knew was she had to get out and all she had to do was kill somebody right? Easy.. right? She moved through the crowd with a target in the back of her head and her hand went to her switch blade on her thigh. Of all the things that she’d woken up without she was glad that wasn’t one of them. Everyone’s attention seemed to be elsewhere so it wasn’t difficult when she snuck up behind Nisemono…

And stabbed him.

“WOAH–!!  WOAH WOAH WOAH TIME OUT!!!!”

“HEY HOLD ON- HOLD THE FUCK ON!!!!  I WASN’T FINISHED!”
