1. Try and give your work your full and undivided attention. Don’t multitask or flip between activities when it is important to retain what you are learning.
2. Study over a number of equally spaced sessions instead of cramming the week before exams. That allows you to gradually consolidate...
I’ve gotten quite a few requests to post my Poetic Techniques list, so here it is! To download the fonts used go to here and here. Also, I adapted and wrote the list for my own use from here (the original is far longer and contains examples of poems that contain the techniques)

Brandon is an economics major on the pre-med track and hails from Montreal, Quebec. He loves tutoring everything from Math and Computer Science to Physics and General Chemistry. If he's not at the ARC you can probably find him playing tennis, cycling or watching Jimmy Fallon clips on Youtube. He also loves to travel and ski!
When not working at the ULC as an Information Assistant, Natalie can be found wandering around Manhattan staring at buildings, strolling through museums and parks, petting various furry (and sometimes non-furry) creatures, or attempting to stargaze at night despite the light pollution. A San Diego-native, winters here are harsh for Natalie but the bustling and beautiful city make it all worth it. Natalie is currently a junior studying Urban Design and Architecture with a minor in Astronomy.

Alex is a junior in CAS studying English and History and minoring in Comparative Literature. She tutors writing and occasionally Psychology and French. She is originally from Iowa City, Iowa, but her family has moved eight times so she has lived all over. She just returned from studying abroad at NYU Prague and is thrilled to be back in the city.
This is Lam's last semester as a senior in CAS at NYU. He will graduate with a degree in chemistry and has worked at the ULC for the past three years as a Learning Assistant. Lam tutors mainly the pre-med sciences and calculus. He grew up and lived in Connecticut his entire life before moving to New York. Outside of school, he really enjoys learning music. He's also learning piano right now in his free time and through a class in Steinhardt.
Brea, one of our awesome Information Assistants, was born and raised in London. In 2014, she decided to betray England in search for a bigger, meaner, faster city. In her pastime she enjoys painting, singing loudly and off key to Beyonce or Lauryn Hill. She is currently posing as a New Yorker until she opens her mouth.
Anna is originally from Moscow, Russia. She tutors mathematics, economics and Russian and German languages at UHall. She loves playing piano and guitar, listening to movie scores, running across the Brooklyn Bridge in the mornings, trying out new cuisines, watching soccer and learning new languages.
My name is Saahil and I am from Long Island, NY. I am junior at CAS studying Biology and Religious Studies. I am also pre-dental! In my free time I like to read fiction and play and watch all kinds of sports. What I enjoy the most, and what I hope to pursue and do more of in the future, is traveling! I've been to a bunch of countries because I studied abroad last semester and I want to go to new places every year. You can come visit me at the ULC if you're looking for tutoring in pre-health sciences, writing courses, and Religious Studies courses.

I'm Alec! I grew up in Nashville, TN and am now a senior studying Economics with minors in Math and Politics. When not at the ULC, I spend time being overly critical about rock music, going to see concerts around the city, reading great literature, and dreaming of becoming a novelist or President of the United States. My post-graduation plan is to get my PhD in Economics, and then to figure out what to do with it. Anytime you need help with Economics classes, especially intermediate micro, come and see me at the ULC!
Ravi Pancholi was born in Houston, Texas but also lived in Missouri and Michigan before finally ending up in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He came to NYU to study biochemistry, but his true passion lies in cognitive neuroscience, which he hopes to research and pursue later in life. While at the ULC, he seeks to share with others his fascination with the biological and chemical sciences, as well as the (perhaps hidden) charms of more math-intensive courses like Physics and Calculus. For him, although he appreciates the expressivity of words, numbers have always appeared just as elegant.
