if you don't think sam found dean completely losing it with grief in the laundry room because he was going to wash his jacket but he ended up staring at cas' handprint for an indefinite amount of time and finally allowing himself to cry for what he had lost right after finding out it could have been his all along you are completely wrong

thee thing is. once they get over their miscommunication bullshit and get together…they are literally thee most insane couple. like neither one of them has any understanding of a “normal” relationship cas has never been in one and barely understands human norms in general and dean…well, he’s dean, nuff said. so literally their days are just a swinging pendulum of doing super mundane things to extremely unhinged things. one day they spend the whole day on the floor just laying next to each other staring at the ceiling and they’re both like omg this is the best day of my life. the next day they have crazy grace-powered marathon sex for over 36 hrs and they’re like omg this is the best day of my life. the next day dean teaches cas how to bake a pie. the day after that, cas fills their house with 10,000 flowers and says, “not even this is enough for you my love.” the next day, they go grocery shopping and bicker over apples in the produce section. then make out furiously in the frozen food aisle. the next next day, cas takes dean to 1586 to show him his favorite painting. the next next next day dean makes pb&j waffles 

love the thought of dean being mr fixit handyman around the bunker when he gets restless and one night he's trying to replace a part under the stove but it's an industrial stove so he can't get it to move more than a few inches. enter cas who's doing his regular nightly rounds and dean's like just the man I needed can you lift this thing? and cas is like um duh. and lifts it with ease. dean smiles all big and dorky and goes 'hallelujah' and drops to his knees to look underneath and it takes all of cas's willpower to not fold the stove like an accordion

dean's like. when i want my dad to like me i hide all my soft parts and when i want other hunters to respect me i act like my dad and when other men leer at me in bars i no homo it up and when motel owners perceive something queer abt me i butch it up and when my little brother teases me i project the feminine things i actually like onto him and when i'm around attractive women i lean into the image that's already been cultivated around me as a charming ladies man and flirt shamelessly (but actually i'm shy) and when i'm around queer women i don't have to perform for i can relax and wear silly outfits and indulge in my actual interests and hobbies and when i'm around kids i am soft and vulnerable and honest because i know they won't judge me and when faced with the option of choosing any presentation i joke that i'd pick to look like a hot cheerleader and everyone thinks i'm being pervy but actually. well. who wouldn't want to be a hot cheerleader am i right? and no no other people don't think like that i guess, heh, nevermind....and when i'm with my best friend...sometimes i think he can see all of me, like really see me, and it's simultaneously terrifying and so so easy.
