Great News Guys!!!!

We were able to raise $16 last Friday! Our fundraiser went great! and EVERYONE who stopped by our table is now educated about the problem with Recycling & Waste in Uganda! Our money is going directly towards Rabbi Sizomu's community in Abayudaya. This money will allow representatives from his community to travel to surrounding areas and teach them how to recycle and get rid of waste properly. We were able to distribute the address to our Blog during our fundraiser, so we have new friends following now! Thanks for your support!

Shauna & Amir will be holding a fundraiser to raise money for Rabbi Sizomu and his community! the money raised will help raise recycling awareness in Uganda. We will do this by sending representatives to surrounding communities to educate the Ugandan people about the importance of recycling!

Awesome news! The KJHS faculty has heard about our project and teachers have been coming in to give us some feedback, advice, and help! Today, Shauna was fortunate enough to talk to Mr. Kelley about advice and ideas he has come up with!

Our new friend Mr. Weaver gave us some amazing help today! Mr. Weaver used to live in West Africa, and was able to give us insight on some tips to combat the recycling problem! Thanks to him we were able to brainstorm and figure out some great new ways to raise recycling awareness!

Our new friend Sarah who works for Bechol Lashon is our go-to woman to help our efforts! We were fortunate enough to have a phone meeting with her today, and have started getting the project underway! Thank you Sarah!

Thanks to Rabbi Kleinberg (Head of school at Kehillah Jewish HS) we have been able to set up connections with "Bechol Lashon". Bechol Lashon is an organization located in San Francsisco, California. They have agreed to help us send funding to Rabbi Suzomi in Uganda and are ready to help us with our efforts!
