a breathy laugh managed to bubble out of him, the innocent response shining some light through julian’s dark fog. the sudden weight on his shoulder throwing him off as he peered to his right, eyes wide with surprise. “i guess i can’t really, huh?” he replied back softly, fingers coming up before pausing and falling limply by his side once again.

he had impulses to pet the feline resting on his shoulder but he knew better than to go and taint such a pure soul. his hands were dirtied from his experiments and it wasn’t the brightest idea to pet the young one. maybe his mind worked differently than others but to julian, it made sense. well, at least enough sense.

the cheshire’s next words completely caught him off guard. the pure honesty and innocence just oozing out with each word the younger male spoke squeezed his core. it unconsciously brought a smile to his face as his eyes, without permission, started to turn misty from emotions that were yearning to escape.

#DailySeventeen Day 6: Bias Wrecker

Zac wasn’t particularly fond of the unwanted attention, so accustomed to being alone in the palace walls with minimal interactions with the outside world and its inhabitants, and wanted nothing more than to escape. Despite his dream of wanting to know more about the other Wonderlanders, Zac thought that a ball wasn’t the appropriate location for it and he’d prefer it if everyone wasn’t so cautious around him because of his status - it made it practically impossible for him to approach anyone and vice versa. 

Zac finally emerged from the corner of the room to fill his plate with some food because might as well distract myself by eating, he says. However, a more distracting scene occurred when a figure appeared in front of him like a blur, knocking his tray over and making a mess all over the floor. With widened eyes, the young prince gazed at the spilled food and the figure on the floor - a cat, most likely a Chesire, because he had seen pictures of them in his books before. 

Ears twitching at the sound of two pairs of footsteps--one of walking away, and the other walking closer-- did the baby Holloway look up, eyes drawn to the mop of cotton candy! colored hair disappearing around the corner, and he was quick to follow, slipping in between the servant’s legs with no remorse. 

His paws padded quickly to be able to match the youngest marmoreal prince, a small mewl escaping his lips to catch the other’s attention in some way, almost tumbling along due to his weak attention and clumsy paws. Christian obediently followed, even coming up with a game on the spot, to always trail behind the youngest prince’s shadow, tail straight up with interest. 

“A lyre indeed. See what happens when you put your mind to it Christian?” He says as he cradles the kitten against his chest. “You seem to be getting bigger- stop growing otherwise I won’t be able to carry you and push you around anymore. Who will I bully then hm?” Bending down again, Aloysius uses a free hand to gather his brother’s clothes seeing as the other was incapable of doing so himself, clothing bunched in his hand and the kitten gripped firmly in his other.

Julian didn’t no what came over him to take a walk in the middle of the day with the sun still up and shining brightly down on whatever crossed its path. It could’ve probably been the fact that he felt replaced by his sister’s new lover or the lack of love he’s been receiving. In his mind, he could only scold himself for being so spoiled by his sister and depending on her when she was bound to leave for another in the end.

His feet aimlessly wandered after having entered the same familiar path of the forest he frequently visited. As he started heading off the dirt trail, the male encountered the cheshire. The feline just refused to leave the younger Liddell alone to sulk in peace, insisting on following the male despite his protest.

“I can’t possibly feel any less lonelier than I do now, could I?” He retorted quite calmly despite the words he had just uttered. His pace never faltering as he walked away from the other, eyes content on staring into space, hoping a black hole would pop out of nowhere and swallow him whole.

“I don’t know, can you?” He asks innocently, after he had finally caught up to Julian’s steps, ears flicking randomly. Of course the youngest Holloway meant nothing but curiosity to his question, but more often than not that his words had been misunderstood by other Wonderlanders. Pink nose wiggling before his body quickly turned into smoke, and the kitten is suddenly hanging at Julian’s shoulder, having miscalculated his position, and he lets out a mewl, 

“You cheshires really are all-powerful, hmm,” he hummed with pride, thankful that the youngest, most innocent one among them was also the strongest. It really took a lot off his mind, the kitten was just asking to be protected, to be taken care of.

A tilt of the head quickly changed into shaking, answering the kitten’s question. The gentle pads of his paws were small, but enough to smudge the ink, leaving trails along the paper and stained Christian’s paw.

Curiously, he lifted a paw, seeing his previously pink pads and white fur now a blue color, before pressing them down on the parchment, and lifting once more. A loud gasp slipped past his lips when he lifted his paw once more, seeing the messy paw print,

On days when Christian does not feel like going too far, he simply walks around the area, the colorful buildings reflecting in his silver hues. He passes by beautiful people and he greets them with a smile and a wave, asking if they were feeling well today. He lives in the domain of the dolls (a terrible terrible decision, really), so he is bound to pick up how to repair them. Some comes to him for minor repairs, and he is more than happy to be of help. 

Christian Knox is ignorant to the dangers these dolls might have, and this worries some of his siblings. He is not sure if they are legitimately worried about him, or his innocence. He settles himself atop one of the brightest, most colorful roofs, a bag on his lap and a ball-jointed doll the size of his torso in his hands. 

“I wonder what hair color would you suit you?”

✿~ “It does seem a bit high, you’re right.” 

Anyone passing by would surely suffer from a heart attack with the way the two of them are sitting preciously on top of the statue of, ironically enough, Julianna’s mother. But instead of feeling fear, she feels a sense of empowerment instead and thinks that if there’s anyone who could provide her with courage and bravery at times like this, it would most definitely be her mother. After all, she gets her sense of adventure from the said woman. 

“What do you think about just sliding down the back of the statue, Kiki?” 

Oh. 

Like a smoke, his somewhat tall figure is gone, clothes a pile by his older brother’s feet and a kitten pawing at Aloysius’ pants with excitement in familiar sparkling eyes, 

“yes, please. It would be very much appreciated, mister Hakyeon!” Half of the kitten’s face popped from the clothes, one sparkling eye making sure the older male had turned around before transforming into his human form, the sudden change has him in disheveled clothing that hung on his frame. Glad that he was more or less dressed, he adjusts the shirt atop his head, easily slipping on the fabric. He’ll still need to practice shifting,
