As we celebrate another year together, I find myself thinking about the past, and today's surprise.
We had so many dates, so many anniversaries already, yet you find new ways to surprise me even once again, as if you could predict my reaction to your big gifts. The day hadn't fully started, but you were already shining brightly, excited for the surprise you had prepared for me. You didn't want to whisper a single hint to me, and I knew I wouldn't have been ready for everything you prepared for me.
And again, you turned what I thought would be a beautiful day into a memory I will carry for the rest of my life.
I have always heard that Versailles looks like coming out of a dreamy painting. Yet, you showed me so much more than just its beauty. It wasn't simply gorgeous gardens, the quiet whimsical paths, or the grandeur surrounding us that day. You decided to bring me to a hidden corner of the gardens, the place looking like a wedding pulled out from a fairy tale. Standing with you in that place, during the small ceremony you had prepared just for us, it made my heart skip a beat. My chest instantly got filled with love and tears were trying to escape from my eyes. Even though it was just you and me, this wedding ceremony seemed as if it was our first one. I remembered all the shared memories we have from our first wedding, quiet and sincere, between two people who have chosen, and will continue to choose, each other again and again.
There were no crowds, no expectations, no distractions. Just us.
And in that moment, I wanted to tell you everything clearly, to remind you how much I love you. After those few years, through every change and every challenge, you remain the person I trust most, the person I want beside me, and the person who still makes my world feel like home when you are by my side. It wasn't simply a date or a ceremony. It was a reminder of our beginning, of our commitment, and of the life we have built together since then.
This time, our important day happened to be in the same day as your tour concert in Paris, though it didn't seem to stop you for planning everything. After such a magnificent day, all I could do was wait for you backstage like usual. I wouldn't have dared to wish for anything more to happen, the aftertaste of our afternoon still on my body and mind. Still, once you did your best on stage, you pulled me, with your dazzling smile, for the next point of your plans. That high-end restaurant you brought me to, with the most romantic set there could be. Roses, champagne, view on the Eiffel Tower. It was breathtaking. Like you, the whole day.
I am grateful for you. I am proud of what we have shared. And I am still certain, after all this time, that choosing you was the best decision I have ever made.
Thank you for giving me a day I will never forget.
