Sore, aching hurt blooms, fresh and angry, and Dennis pulls back his hand with a sharp hiss just as the curtains rattle and Jack sweeps into the room. His handsome face is already set in a scowl and he honestly looks kind of pissed off, but then his gaze finds where Dennis’ hand lingers against his abused throat and it gets so much worse. “What the fuck?” Jack hisses and stalks over. OR; Dennis gets a little bit strangled during Street and is positive he's ruining date night no matter what Trinity says. Jack and Robby reacts accordingly.

Mind the tags, but the whump in this one is incredible!

“Whitaker, you need to sit down. You have a concussion.” The voice next to him tries to tell him, and it's almost familiar this time. “Yeah I realized that, I am a fuckin' doctor. Student doctor. Whatever.” he replies, turning to squint at the man sitting next to him. “Look, can you just get Dr. Robby? He’ll tell you I'm fine, I gotta get back to work, I got… patients and shit.” The man looks at someone behind him, some expression he can’t quite figure out. He starts to say something else, and—oh shit he’s gonna throw up fuck—he tries to lean away and not vomit all over anyone else. He doesn't quite make it. “Shit,” yeah, he definitely ruined that guy’s shoes. Whoops. “Sorry.” prosopagnosia 1. A form of visual agnosia characterized by difficulty with face recognition despite intact low-level visual processing.

Whitaker?" The words taste sour in his mouth; he's barely registering Abbot and Park as they rush around Dennis. Before he can think better of it, his body betrays him, and he's following them inside. People are darting to the side to make way for Dennis like he's royalty. In all honesty, he looks horrible. Hair matted with blood, chest working overtime as the air pressed on his face does absolutely nothing to fill his lungs, bruises running down his face, fading into the multiple lacerations on his face and body. Robby only had a few seconds to look at him; this was just the surface injuries that were visible to the human eye. What if it was worse internally? ----- Or, Dennis gets into a car accident, which leads to Robby finding out they are soulmates.

Attacked by a patient in triage.” - Or; It takes Dennis being attacked by a patient for Robby to realize that his feelings for him go far beyond the bounds of student and teacher.
