1. The first time it happens, Xenk hadn't even known Edgin was in town. He'd woken quite early in the morning, and upon sitting up in bed, his eyes immediately caught sight of Edgin off to the side. Xenks cape rolled up as a makeshift pillow. And a spare sheet covering him.

2. The second time he'd at least seen Edgin downstairs performing in the tavern. He hadn't seen anyone else from the bard's party. The door hinges squeaked as Edgin opened the door. Xenk heard the whispered "shit" clear as day as he sat up. Xenk offers him a pillow and one of his blankets. "Sorry. Holga's got someone in our room, and tavern's all booked up. Didn't think you'd mind after last time." Kira's at home with Simon and Doric.

3. The third time he'd spotted all, but Doric on the other side of town earlier in the day. He assumes they probably booked a couple of rooms at the tavern near there. Xenk himself staying at the inn on the opposite side of town. This time he wakes to Edgin removing his boots and jacket. Wordlessly offering him a pillow and blanket.

4. This time he actually runs into Edgin, Doric, and Simon as they're leaving what appears to once have been a Goblin camp. It seems the trio beat him to his mission. He heals Edgin who seems to have taken the worst of the damage. Nothing serious, just some cuts, bruises, and a scratch on his cheek. They walk together back to the village. They insist Xenk join them for drinks. He does. Simon and Doric leave first. After another round, for Edgin at least, he and Xenk leave as well. Walking back to the inn in companionable silence. Bidding eachother goodnight once they reach Edgin's room. Xenk was on the edge of sleep roughly an hour later when he hears the tell tale sound of someone attempting to pick the lock to his room. He closes his eyes once again when he hears the deciding click of the door unlocking. Keeps them closed when he hears Edgin slip in, and close and lock the door behind him. When he hears the bard step further into the room, and remove his boots. Stepping closer to the bed, the rustle of the spare pillow as he grabs it. "You may sleep in the bed, Edgin. If you are not opposed to sharing it." Edgin clears his throat. "Yeah, okay." And then he's pushing back the covers, and climbing into bed beside Xenk.
